There's something of a sign-up sheet.

Scholar Name:
Scholar Colleague:
Scholar Nemesis:

That's it. Then write an article for round D and vote for your favorite round C article.

Okay. Does the colleague/nemesis bit have to be an existing character?

Is the Hephestus or Hephaestus gas? I only ask because it's a citation.

Hesphestus is gas. Or it produces the gas. Whatever the author of that article wants it to be.

Dirigible Hunts

A popular pastime of the rich and idle of [Myrmidopolis], dirigible hunts involve the filling of huge airtight bags with lighter-than-air gas subsequent to the exploration of the heights of the otherwise unreachable [Halfweald] in metal or wooden baskets suspended from the ballons. Considered risque, glamourous and dangerous, the "hunts" may involve activity as innocuous as picknicking on the lowest reaches of the Halfweald surrounded by heavily armed guards. Some hunts however involve combat (usually using ranged weapons installed in the basket of the dirigible) with the creatures of the Halfweald, such as [Botanical Horrors] formed there and left previously unmolested, Halfweald grazers and predators, flying creatures encountered en route, or stranger cavern creatures that prefer to lurk in the upmost parts of the tallest caverns and thus have found their way to the expansive Halfweald far above Myrmidopolis quite by accident. The pelts, heads, ivory, chitin and even meat of many of these is considered valuable or a proof of valour by some.

Two things I've seen as I get the next turn ready:
1. Remember, two phantoms only. NJW has like 4 in his post. I took the first two.
2. Remember that you have to cite BACK at an earlier post along with your two posts. Specifically one made by someone else. Gentle didn't do that, or he forgot to mark it.

Piecewise, could I get a clarification on rules? Are we allowed to cite "phantom citations" created by other players before their round comes? I.e. syvarris creates an article on [Artillery] with citation [Xxxxxx Powder], and I then cite [Xxxxxx Powder] in my article on [Siege Warfare]?

And does this count towards phantoms created (maximum of 2)?

The answers "yes" and "no" respectively would I think make the most sense, as the structure of the dictionary/links would be more symmetrical when read forwards and back.

Otherwise, articles starting with "z" would only be cited once, whereas articles starting with "a" would be cited a lot. And the later on in the alphabet an article is, the less it will be cited. Which seems... less than ideal.

No, lets say not.

So we got a lack of interest here? We've got all of 4 responders.

Hammerstone

Robert Geldrenth

An underground city founded by humans, built in an old mine. It is a centre of technology and learning for the underground, and the people there use technology in most ways of life. It is powered by massive tanks magma, used for geothermal energy. The people there live off mushrooms and animals adapted to the caverns of the city. At some time in the distant past, people started worshipping magma and stone, the things which power their city, and canals of magma now flow through it's caverns, in massive canals.
The head of govenment is a king, elected into position by the high council, and serving for life. People may join the high council by being Hammerstone born, and being the most skilled at their craft in the city. Regular competitions are held to find the best, as well as giving trophies to the others.
Prisoners of war are thrown into the magma canals as sacrafices, but only on special occasions.
The city is filled with all kinds of machinery and metal, as well as having a hige library for storing knowledge safely.
The Hammerstonians are usually peaceful, but will attack if aggrivated.

Did I do this right?

You're missing citations... also, we're on the D's right now, not the H's.
