Braddock Empire
The Braddock Empire has been the largest known civilisation of man since the collapse of [Great Iron Lung, The], with an estimated million denizens at the time of writing. It has lasted thousands of years, thanks to the wise and decisive leadership of the [Sabrel Regalis], implemented latterly by an assembly of lords and democratically elected senators seated in [Myrmidopolis].
Major conurbations of the Braddock Empire include Rivermold, Blackstone Edge, Grimpeak Cavern Central, Carbis, Granitedam, Slatearch, Cagstone Bend, Coalcrag, formerly [Carthal Sevris] and the capital city, [Myrmidopolis]. The Empire spans over a million square miles of cavern and tunnel, and generously incorporates countless urban sites, settlements, hamlets and other collections of man. There are thousands of languages and dialects spoken within the Empire, and similarly countless ethnic, religious and social groups within it. Each city or town is nominally ruled by the local lords, mayor, patriach, provost or other leader, though is in fact guided on all issues of import by the beneficient leadership of the [Sabrel Regalis].
The Braddock Empire is currently the largest innovator, producer of industrial goods, creator of living space, miner of [Avaldrite] and protector of the common good extant. It has taken unified military action on a large scale several times in history against existential threats to man, and is ever-vilgilant against new threats from the surface above or depths below. A triumphant defender of the weak, upholder of nobility and virtue, and glowing bastion against anarchy, the Braddock Empire is considered even by many of its competitors to be the shining hope of mankind.
