Zapp moves up, and now kisses Newton, before giggling again.
"Catboy tongue Zapp's now."

Uh, Newton, you're supposed to move your head away from the incredibly cute kobold that just kissed you?  Not into?  What are you doing?!  Stop that!

Oh, he figured out his gross motor controls again.

He's blushing so hard Zapp can practically feel it.

Zapp, noticing Newton is leaning into for a kiss, kisses and keeps the kiss going, slipping her tongue in to lick his. All the while completely unaware of implications, it's just funny to her.
Finally she breaks it. And then just bursts into laughter.
"Catboy red, super red. Catboy cute and red."
Zapp pets Newton on the head.

Newton is just absolutely dazed and completely mortified.  And still holding Zapp.

Zapp just pets Newton, enjoying the feeling of petting such a flustered and red cat.

Alex's facepalm has reached x2 combo proportions.

Anthony finds the look on Newton's face hilarious, and barely stifles his laughter.

Newton doesn't notice, being more preoccupied with the matter at hand.  Alex pulls out a small notebook and writes something down in it.

 Once everyone is...in relative order, Falk begins moving out of the barracks, and towards the range.
He's silent, before asking a series of questions, sounding somewhat concerned. "Which of you are a trained medic, doctor, or healer, OR have particularly fast reflexes?"
As he talks, he taps at his tablet, sending Ricardo a message.
'Don't answer. Me and you are exempt from this.'

Alex texts Falk's tablet, seeing him tapping out a message.

"Regardless of how you answer, review that knowledge in your head. Accidents tend to happen every now and then on the range. Actually, on anywhere, really. Just be prepared for anything. It's a good habit to get into." Vilgot replies in a neutral tone, sliding the tablet into a pocket.
The squad can talk as they walk along, but soon they'll arrive at the range.
