James has for now just put his gun into the small knapsack he usually carries office supplies in. He sidles up to Arun, and mutters to him. "Fire axe a bit mightier than the pen, huh? Uh... you gonna just... walk outside toting an axe openly, dude?"

"Something is clearly wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if we need to break out of here. I'll toss the axe once we get in public, don't worry."

The woman, for her part, shies away from Arun upon noticing the big axe he's currently got.

James looks between the woman and Arun, extending his hands in an attempt at a placating gesture once he sees her shy away.
"No, no, it's fine, uh, see, he just found that and it was out of place, you see, and if you see a big axe lying around it's not exactly the sor tof thing you can just leave, so, uhhhhh, he was just bringing it back because they'd know what to do with it in the lobby, yeah, that's it."
James, however, is not a fantastic liar.

The woman nods very slowly and still backs away.

Rachel also approaches. She is not carrying any extremely large weaponry. "We... kinda have no idea how we got here. We just woke up in a room back there..."

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

James looks out the door, sighing, and has his attention taken up by the scenery.
"Where is this anyway...? I'll say, it sure doesn't look like New York, or Edgewater for that matter. How far away am I?"

"And this doesn't look like Albany, does it?"

"Well, yeah, I suppose it looks even less like Albany than NYC considering Albany isn't on the coast, but," he scratches his head, "Considering that wherever we are has got to be on the other side of the country at the very least, that doesn't seem like much of a meaningful distinction."

Upon realizing that the rest of the group left him alone (possibly with a girl, no less), Thomas rushes out of the room and bursts through the door carrying his rifle port-arms style.

"Yeah, we're not in the city." Rachel says. One can assume she could tell, given the NYU logo on her purse.

James took note of the logo on Rachel's purse -- he was an alumni himself, something to comment on later, maybe when the whole "kidnapped across the country at the least and left in a room with lots of guns and "they're coming"" thing resolved itself. For now it seemed like things were defusing a bi-- And then Thomas walked right out into the room toting a rifle, causing James to sigh and cover his face with his hands.

Iris hurries after the group, although it's more of a brisk walk than anything suitably urgent.

To anyone who'll look after a brief bout of light pokes:

What are we doing now?

Arun looks at Iris and enunciates carefully so that his lips are easier to read:

"We need to leave. Something is very wrong about this hotel. I saw a beach outside; it'll do."
