Rachel rubs her own forehead, feeling similar pain - although she'd evidently not gotten quite so smashed so she didn't vomit. "I don't know, if you figure it out can you tell me? I need to know that myself."

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

"Huh, did you find reception?"

Hello. My name is Iris. I can't hear properly, but I usually talk through this phone. Do you know what's happening?

Janet chuckles softly, recovering from the pain more quickly than expected.

"Heh. I know why I did, I just know why I shouldn't, too. You drink often?"

"Guess there aren't any towers in range..."

She looks for someone who's not occupied she can show it to.
"Huh, did you find reception?"

"Might be down. Don't count on anything outside this room being intact."

Tom stands up, taking the SCAR with him.

Arun pulls out his notebook and pen and quickly writes with a flourish, then shows the text to Iris:

"No, I don't, and neither seems anyone else here. I'm Arun."

She quickly skims the text, before responding with a nod and a smile.
I can lip-read. Don't feel obliged to write back.
A pause, during which more is typed.
It seems we might be in trouble, though. Perhaps now's not the time for pleasantries?

Another one of the people in the room, a slightly gaunt-looking man in his twenties, wearing a blue office shirt and khakis, picks himself up off of the floor, looking blearily around but not actually taking much in.
"Well, this is certainly a break from the routine."
The man rubs his eyes and takes a look around again, looking at the weapons and at the writing on the wall.
"What...? Is this... some sort of terrorist hideout or something? Well, I don't think terrorists would be so obsessed with... cacti, apparently. Where are we...? And who are you all for that matter?"
He scratches his head.
"And do you all have any better idea of what's going on than I do?"

"I think its established that either we all have no clue what is going on, or everyone is pretending not to know what is going on. We have established that it is probably not the Rapture."

"Yeah, sure," James remarks with sarcasm lacing his voice, "I'll just take that off of the mental checklist. So, guns and, uh, "They're Coming", I'm not the only one who this strikes as all kinds of ominous, right?"

Janet is now sitting up, and nods towards James. "Janet Platinum's the name. Who're you?"

He sweeps his hand over his head to check if his hair is ruffled ip or nythung, and drops it, evidently satisfied.
"My name's James Rogers. Uh, sorry Arun, I might have beard that name before, but I haven't really been much of a reader nowadays. Haven't had the time, really. Work, you know."

He crouches over all of the guns. "Speaking of work, I sure hope we're not supposed to be... fighting with these things or anything. I work in finance, it's not exactly a heart-pounding warrior profession."

"Eh? Hah! Someone wrote something on the wall! I guess I was distracted by the weapons and apocalypse."
