Make a minecart track, from the candy level, to your forges. All the way from the bottom of the world to the surface.

Bonus: Make it automated, so that the dwarves can just push the cart (or ride it) and don't have to guide it.
Superbonus: Make it on the same track, in such a way that friction control turns off and the rollers turn on when the cart is going up and the reverse when the cart is going down.

I'd rather learns the basics of minecarts first.XD

You wouldn't be able to have multiple carts going at once.

I don't mind generally whenever I'm filling in magma workshop's. Push 1 cart up-down with checkpoint effect instead of rollers for propulsion, then while it's being carried off push second one. 'course, I tend to get straight into doing this on embark if possible - it's about as labour-intensive as digging 3x1 staircase to magma sea, though.

My project, code name "Endogeny" is coming along swimmingly. Work has been slowed down by the sheer number of dwarves, humans, and the four cool elves. I need to figure out a way to get rid of the guests from the tavern who have sitting around for years.

If I can figure out a way to remove the surplus bard citizens and guests, I could further my construction of unspeakable cruelty much quicker.
