Pretty sure he also said the interview would be live and unedited.

It was recorded on Tuesday for broadcast today.

In a little bit of good news, the FCC has outlawed AI generated voices for robocalls. They're not quite there (banning the damn things outright, ai gen or not), yet, but just about any step that cuts some of the goddamn abominations that are robocalls off the line is a good step.

Special Counsel Robert Hur: Biden too mentally incompetent to be charged with mishandling classified documents.

Biden's ghostwriter destroyed interview tapes after investigation was announced. Reasons are definitely entirely innocent, no charges.

The tapes that Hur was able to quote from in his report, you mean? Sounds about right for you.

The reason was that he said Biden’s defense would be that he was a well-meaning old man with a poor memory, not that he was incapable. Hur’s analysis of Biden’s faculties in the report means nothing because he’s not a doctor.

I’m less than half Biden’s age and I have a shit memory.

They recovered "most of" what had been deleted.

Quote
"Mr Biden's recorded conversations with Zwonitzer from 2017 are often painfully slow, with Mr Biden struggling to remember events and straining at times to read and relay his own notebook entries."

"In his interview with our office, Mr Biden's memory was worse. He did not remember when he was vice president, forgetting on the first day of the interview when his term ended ('if it was 2013 - when did I stop being Vice President?'), and forgetting on the second day of the interview when his term began ('in 2009, am I still Vice President')."

"He did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died."

Not great.

Maybe Revolutionary War airports exonerate Trump, though. (JK, it's [D]ifferent.)

It isn’t, but nor is it proof he’s mentally infirm, then or now.

Zwonitzer was so determined to delete and hide files he voluntary submitted his laptop as evidence and kept the transcripts from the interviews. Come on guy.

Now imagine not doing that after deleting them. That would actually be worse for him even if material evidence of something was recovered, because you can't withhold on accident.

Yes it would, and the fact he didn’t do either of those things implies there was no conspiracy to hide evidence, whether of Biden’s infirmity or of holding classified files.

I really don't even know what you're talking about because I haven't read anything about this and I have no dog in this race, but I wanted to share the following just as general advice for any of you who may be up to something:

If you were to end up in a situation where you have certain audio logs whose existence is documented, some of which are incriminating, what you would want to do is convert all the non-incriminating tapes to transcripts, prepare fake transcripts for the incriminating parts, then erase and overwrite (bleachbit, for example, if the format is digital) the incriminating parts while deleting all the rest normally, so that it looks like you just didn't save anything after taking the transcripts and some parts were unrecoverable by coincidence, rather than you having deleted only specific parts that then look more suspicious (paging Mr. Nixon). Voluntarily offer your records for attempted recovery, so that it doesn't look like you're hiding anything, and the non-incriminating originals will mostly be found; then the fact that your transcripts match the recoverable portions of the original audio serves to legitimise your fake transcripts for the unrecoverable parts.

Noting that you're not always sure where 'cached'[1] versions might be. I'd add another couple of stages to that process (simple to describe, but I won't) to not leave possibly incriminating evidence of the 'easy recovery' not necessarily being the be-all-and-end-all. And then a couple of further steps to obfuscate the prior steps having been taken (if the forensic techie involved considers that to be something worth investigating).

Anyway, perhaps we should ask Biden if he can remember the words "face, velvet, church, daisy, red"...

[1] Calling it that for simplicity's sake; but covering a wide variety of possible copy-data...

Frankly, even if someone asked Biden who the president was and he got confused and said "Obama?" he's still far more qualified than a fucking orange rapist insurrectionist fascist soon-to-be-felon.

A brick is more qualified than that piece of shit should be, and the justices love to conveniently forget about federation HERE but not when it comes to women controlling their bodies?

The memory thing's persistently weird to me, because when the general comes you're going to be talking two octogenarians, and, like. No one with sense is going to expect particularly good memory from someone in their 80s. We're not going to have a choice for someone not that, unless biden or trump dies between now and november, and GOP being what it is, possibly not even then if they decide to put trump's corpse on the general ballot.

On the personal level, though, it's comparing an old guy that occasionally talks like my parent in their 60s, and an only slightly younger one that regularly talks like my grandfather that lived 'till his 90s did when nose deep in a dementia episode and talking about his eight wives or some shit (he did not, in fact, have eight wives). There's not really a comparison between "memory problems" and "memory problems and can't consistently string together coherent sentences".

Practical question: Do y'all have a doomsday plan for dealing with the Trump-led lynchings that'll follow his election?

I'll not get into the subject of age because y'all refuse to form coalition without kowtowing to the gerontocrats.
