DeSantis won't honor Vermont Driver's Licenses.
https://www.mychamplainvalley.com/news/local-news/florida-announces-restrictions-on-vermont-licenses/amp/
"This content is not available in your " (...it doesn't actually say any more than that, but I presume it means I'm geofenced, due to not being on the right side of the pond, etc).

Anyway, not seeing that site (and knowing that I'll get distracted if I went looking for any other source), as that arbitrarily? Or is it one of those many points of political contention[1][2][3] that he's all fykie over..?

[1] States that allow transgender/no-gender variations to what's printed on them?
[2] They're granting licences to non-citizen resident immigrants?
[3] They have the audacity to not enforce a seven year quest to discover the secret location[4] of the only DMV office that will serve anyone on your shift pattern...

[4] And that you need to say "Mellogoth" to even open its doors...

Don’t think I’ve ever really had a problem at a DMV in terms of actually getting seen relatively quickly, even in spite of my foreignness meaning extra paperwork, though I will say I’ve only been in a small town one.

In saying that, for my driving practical test I had to drive down a curb to get into the next parking lot over because the construction workers doing something to the road outside the DMV had blocked the driveway with a vehicle, just to be awkward.

It was hilarious how both Biden and Trump are exactly the same regarding their shitbag sons.  They're not alone: George H.W. Bush had several sons as well...
They really aren't, though? Biden's kept pretty distant from hunter's nonsense (and it's mostly just been hunter, for that matter), at least as far as I've noticed, while trump... hasn't been, with his kids. They've been pretty close to the exact opposite of exactly the same regarding their shitbag sons, heh.

Mm. Hunter is an addict who has made some questionable decisions, Trump gave his children positions in his cabinet and election campaign, and encouraged the aforementioned scheme to get dirt on Clinton that turned out to be nothing.

Every time I (involuntarily) hear about Hunter's laptop I assume it happens to be a particularly slow news week over at Fox again.

Oh look, it's not just the Conservative Justices misusing their office for personal gain:
https://apnews.com/article/supreme-court-sotomayor-book-sales-ethics-colleges-b2cb93493f927f995829762cb8338c02

I was wondering if we'd ever see any criticism of the liberal justices.

Yeah, it's just as I say: The only difference between Republicans and Democrats is that Democrats are more skilled liars. Democrats are more nuanced in their corruption.

I'd say that's less nuance and more...just smaller scale. Like, it's almost adorable that "pushing the sales of some book they wrote" is the best they can come up with to do with their position. It's like babies first corruption.

Problem with whataboutism is people often use it to equate a big bad with smaller bad, but...I mean, sometimes it feels like "This house is literally on fire!" "Oh yeah, well this one hasn't cleaned up their garden!". Like sure they should clean up their yard but the OTHER ONE IS ON FIRE!

ah, how could i forget the time that democrats stormed the capitol to overthrow an election

or the democratic plot to kidnap the democratic governor of michigan

or the time the democrats declared themselves domestic terrorists at their summit

or the time democrats dogwhistled to white supremacists to stand by ahead of an election

or that time democrats called for the eradication of transgender people

or that time democrats killed a democratic-lead bill because the democratic leader signaled in favor of it

or the time that democrats unilaterally voted against a democratic-lead covid relief bill because the republicans agreed to sign it

or the time the democrats' political platform was 'unilaterally support the president' and nothing else

or the time the democrats pushed back against vaccines during covid, leading to hundreds of thousands of excess deaths

or the time democrats demonized the fbi and lead to several democrats crashing their cars and getting into shootouts with the fbi

or that time democrats planted pipe bombs at the nation's capitol

or the time the democrats plotted the kidnapping or assassination of an ambassador to Ukraine to cover up extortion lead by the democratic president

or the time a democratic president extorted an allied nation for political dirt on an opponent

or the time a democrat overturned roe v wade

or the time democrats campaigned on overthrowing roe v wade to appeal to evangelical christians

or the time a democrat broke into the speaker of the house's private home in a plot to assassinate her and settled for bludgeoning the speaker's spouse

or the time a democrat had a dick-waving contest with north korea about nuclear arsenals

or the time democrats killed the plan for student loan relief

or the time the democrats lead the war on drugs to quell anti-war sentiments and foster racism at the benefit of the evangelical white christians they were courting

or the time a democratic senator flew a minor across state lines to rape

or the time the democratic party unilaterally looked away from a democratic senator flying a minor across state lines to rape

or the time a democratic governor kidnapped hundreds of migrants and dropped them at the doorstep of a political opponent

tch, they're all the same, republicans and democrats

Yeah, the system's corrupt and we should change it.  That's what AOC's been saying, despite participating in the corrupt system.  That's inherently what every half-decent elected official is saying.

Should Sotomayer have published her books with some 0-margin plan?  IDK, maybe.
I don't think that would have accomplished much, though.  Maybe if she'd used some other revenue stream to fund an advertising campaign.

Surely everyone who sees this as a problem will agree that we need to fix the system /s
Or it's just "You oppose capitalism, yet participate in capitalism?  Curious"

As the others said. I kinda just immediately write off anyone pulling the whataboutism horseshit as a fascist sympathizer at this point.

Because as some people seem to be too fucking dense to comprehend: yes, the democrat party is a gaggle of rich old fucks. But I'd rather with get rid of the gaggle of old fascist fucks first, because the shit they're pulling constantly is several orders of magnitude more scummy, and going "but both sides" at this point only demonstrates that the person doing it is clinically fucking brain dead at best, or actively trying to defend the fascist cunts at best.

Either way, not worth the lost IQ points from trying to talk with someone like that.

Next time, read the fucking article.
It was NOT about a Supreme Court Justice selling a book for profit.
It was about a Supreme Court Justice using their Government Paid Employees push for people to buy her book.

You're lumping me in with fascists. They're literally 10% of the Republican Party. Which is 10% too many, but not 90% that aren't fascists.

You also misunderstand.  I'm not saying the old bribed Republican Justices (but apparently NOT the newer Justices?) are acting appropriately.
I was just wondering if the left wing media was actually interested in looking at the non-Conservative justices. And hey, at least one periodical has some integrity.
Sorta restores my faith in the Free Media.
