Tucker Carlson already saying that the Russian troop buildup at Ukraine's border is just "Putin wanting his Western borders secure."

I find it galling that Russia is paying our worst political commentators to manipulate the stupidest and most gullible among us. The party of the Red Scare is now being told to just not worry about it, it's all good, he's just doing his thing, no worries.

Sounds like Carlson's trying to continue to prop up the farcical impeachment defense that Ukraine is corrupt and volatile, or perhaps reinforce ideas that a strong military presence is required to stop The Immigrants?

At best, he's just drumming up anti-Biden sentiment using any world event he can in preparation for 2024.

At 2nd worst, he's being paid to destabilize public opinion around a Russian invasion.

At worst, he's doing both.

Well Tucker-bot would be right to call Ukraine is corrupt and volatile... Do you believe the new Ukrainian government was able to locate and remove all of the players associated with the previous USSR/Russian power structure in less than 10 years?

Clearly not- there was something of a coup attempt thwarted what, a little over a week ago?

It's hardly an argument worth making in context to Russia's military presence right now, however, and is heinously inappropriate to use as the fulcrum of an extortion scheme on which military aid was leveraged.

The worm writhes pretty good if Russia's military presence is no longer a concern but during the impeachment, all they could go on about was how Obama sent blankets.

Yeah, I have a point of view on why Tucker-bot talked about the old Obama blankets when the impeachment is the only current news... it has to do with sports. ...and Tucker-bot is a term being used to describe the actual mouthpiece and all the associated creatures that choose which words the mouthpiece speaks...

In sports, when it comes to who wins the game, a point is a point. It doesn't matter how spectacular or dismal the making of the point was, it is just a point. Tucker-bot is is not attempting to distract from the impeachment by talking about blankets, he is saying, "it is okay that they just scored a point, because we were already up one point, because Obama gave them blankets but Trump gave them guns". Compare how Tucker-bot talks and how sports announcers talk... compare the audiences...

There is that chemical that hits the brain when you are a member of a tribe and your tribe is scoring points. Drunken sports fans (and soccer moms) don't care about truth or fairness of game, they care about the points, because they are addicted to the chemical.

i'm not sure what you're trying to get at here, but i'm also flat bushed today

anyways, i was referring particularly to the impeachment inquiry itself with the blankets bullshit and not specifically to tucker, I have no idea what he went on about for the duration of it
