My objection was more along the lines that "This country needs rescuing from their enemies! Luckily we already have a huge force poised to march in to save them!" is one of the oldest tricks in the conquerer's book. Almost as old as the "We must protect the oppressed members of our ethnicity that were left behind when that land was stolen from us" strategy used to justify Russia's previous invasion of Ukraine.

Maybe because ever since Biden took office its been desperate attempts to show how he's no better than Trump and something something both parties and then a lot of people disagreeing.

Admittedly actual repubs don't last long on ameripol, being literally outnumbered and often inherently contrarian/'devil's advocate.'
