No. The pumpkin bit is true, but he was raised near the natural nuclear reactor.

Radiation levels are tolerable, but were sufficient to produce Orange Shitler.  Scientists researching the site discovered the anomalous fruit, and took it for study in New York.

Also crosspost, heh:

They thought they were safe, but There Is No Escape
Freedomvision?

I wonder how that’ll work? Choose artists regionally? State by state? At first it’s going to be little more than a talent show like American Idol, but it does show how we’re jealous and want in on it. Maybe EuroVision could invite America into it? It’s got plenty of non-European nations in it and it’d probably be fun, so, why not?

But the US can invite lots of different countries to partake... Like Guam, or Puerto Rico, or Hawaii.

Inb4 at least half of the songs have a political theme in some manner.

Now I'm not saying I don't like singing competitions, but why is this such a big deal? It's just a singing competition. Like I see this one has undertones of diversity, is that why we don't like it here in the United States of Murrica? I'm confused.

It's going to get confusing when all the Mexicos try to compete at the same time

But jokes aside I'm assuming it's going to be all the USA states competing, that's how I would have done it. That's also how I would have done it if it was a North American competition -- the US, Canada and Mexico all have all their individual states do one song each, and then all the tiny countries above Panama also get one contender.

It didn't really start out that way though, it grew into it as we became more and more comfortable with them gay folks existing - eurovision is a famously popular thing among homosexual men.

I could see the Mexico one getting bloody if the cartels decide to make a proxy out of it. :p

Still, didn’t Eurovision start out as multiple countries doing it rather than just one doing something and the others jumping onboard? It’d probably be easier for other countries to join in if there’s multiple from the start, otherwise, it’s just another American Idol.

Yeah, we gotta include other countries.
I think American Idol does, but it's also not explicitly a cultural competition.

I think it'd be cool, but I'd limit it to one singer/act per country, and make sure multiple countries are encouraged to participate. Of course, the better option would probably be to just expand Eurovision to be Worldvision or something similar.
