Lovely when you get verifiable death threats from one of their rather dumb agents. Like forgets to switch accounts on reddit type stuff, scrolled down his post history like 4 days after I respond to his threat and come to find out he literally works in the military and is 23, and it took me 5 seconds to spot the discernable part of his training that made me go 'woop woop, this is most definitely NSA' because my mother worked there when I was a child. But nevermind that I have verifiable photographic evidence that a man threatened to murder me, typical mason mom is trying to same I'm delusional for thinking that while I present photographic evidence. Verifiable photographic evidence? Sounds like just the thing to show in, say, the conspiracy thread. It might help substantiate what otherwise sounds a bit like you just deciding that this guy was actually in the military (as opposed to the excitable people who graduated top of their class in the Navy Seals, per the copypasta) and furthermore worked for the NSA with no actual confirmation of either.

I was just hearing about that.  Apparently she came off as really earnest about wanting to help the children during her actual visit...  But also she wore that?  One commentator was saying it might just be a way to stealthily appeal to Trump's base.  Basically, try to be everything to everyone.

From what I've read, she wore it when boarding the plane that took her to Texas, not in Texas where she visited the detained children. I think it's either just a wardrobe malfunction, or she's trolling the media. "What does the media pay attention to? A jacket, or a visit to the detained children?" She's the first lady, so I'd say that wardrobe malfunctions are unlikely.

I mentioned that a bunch of posts earlier. Her choice most likely isn't an accident, but that's the problem of optics when you have politics surrounding the whole thing. Stripped of politics and everything else, it's probably just saying 'I don't care what you think of my fashion.', but she ISN'T in that fashion optics world, once you insert something with words in it and don't define it, people are going to define it for you. Heck, Trump is spinning it as being targeted at the media (which it plausibly might be, but not for what he thinks) despite Melania's spokesperson saying that there is no message behind it.

Maybe her intention was to confuse everybody, but given how optics conscious she is, you'd think she would be more careful with anything that has words on it.

I don't buy that it's accidental. The first lady, a fashion model and major public figure with a large staff, responding to a crisis of empathy in a publicized event, wearing a coordinated casual outfit, and nobody even momentarily considered looking at the giant words on the back?
