And why a Waffle House of all places? I cant recall because I'm not one to keep up on stereotypes but Isn't Waffle House some groups stereotypical hangout? Did the man not like black people eating waffles or something?

The Blacks do not, in fact, hang out in Waffle House.

Can't speak to Nashville waffle houses. But the ones around here are probably the most universally accepting place you'll find in the south. Everyone goes to waffle house, rich, poor, black, white. It's cheap enough it's hard to feel bad about going even when you're scraping change up from your cupholders to be able to pay for a plate of eggs. At the same time I've sat one booth over from million dollar real estate deals happening. You can sit shoulder to shoulder at the counter with just about anyone. But nobody cares. The staff treats everyone like family. And people just want some breakfast, or a decent burger.

The waffles are good. But are taken best as part of a larger breakfast.

Waffles are good for any occasion. Breakfast, lunch, snack, appetizer and, yes, desert.

They can be just breakfast, but usually with waffle house they're breakfast's dessert. And they're alright. Not the best waffles in the world, nor the cheapest, but close enough for not having to be the one to cook them or clean up the (syrup doused) plate afterwards.

Waffles are an integral part of the Scandinavian Lutheran church. Most of my assignments as chaplain's assistant in the military revolved around waffles and the production thereof.

We do the round platters of heart-shaped waffles, though. I made some calculations, and figured out that we churned out something like 360-400 platters over the course of a 2-hour evening event every week.

Took me months before I could eat waffles again.

A typical example of a Waffle House breakfast. That substantial helping of food plus coffee will run you just about $10 depending on local taxes. Subtract waffle and meat and you can be comfortably filled up and squeeze in at about the $6 mark.

Although the choc-chips on the waffle are extra and I typically go plain myself. And despite it's price and the fact that it's fairly plain food and each individual item is rarely notable. Waffle House meals have been some of the best and most memorable in my life. And now I think I know where I'm grabbing lunch.

And with that, I think it's safe to say that gun violence has become one of the leading causes of waffle hagiography in the US.
