I don't approve of slut-shaming, but again, if you're going to sleep with a guy because he's rich and powerful and you're hoping some of that rubs off on your own life....that makes you pretty typical. To admit as much would be honest. You can't be shamed if there's nothing to be ashamed of. But instead they walk back from it. "Oh I go to church now, I'm in the ministry." The article even goes right to the point, where the media companies promise to "preserve the appearance of purity."

Everyone wants their cake and they want it eat it to. They want to get rich, they want to live the high life, but they want to be seen as pure and virtuous too.

If Trump wasn't possibly the most unpopular person in America right now, would these women feel as bad about voluntarily sleeping with him hoping for a payday? I kind of doubt it.

Like, I have more respect for Stormy Daniels as a porn actress than I do for playboy bunnies who have a sudden attack of morals when it's most beneficial for them.

Meanwhile, Congress passed that bigass omnibus spending bill, averting a shutdown and generally making no one happy (the hallmark of compromise bills).

One of the people it didn't make happy? Donald Trump.
He's tweeted out a threat to veto it (possibly triggering another shutdown crisis cycle) because:

1. It didn't do anything to help DACA recipients.
2. Not enough money for The Wall.

These are literally the two no-go lines for either side, and the compromise was to toss both items off the table so something could get done.

Theres a pretty good chance that he'll try such tactics on Kim Jong-Un, if they ever meet. I suppose such tactics work in the Real Estate scene, but they won't work very well in international diplomacy.

Wouldn't stopping those payments make more sense than forbidding transgenders?
I think it's pretty bad that the military pays for that. Makes sense if a military pays for combat injuries' treatment, or random illness of it's troops.
But I don't get why the army should pay for transgender medical costs.

On a related note I for one am spotting a pattern about sex-workers finding jesus after they hit the wall, and that sort of annoys me. The prostitute I knew went to university, learnt news skills, got a job once they hit 40, and are now working as an accountant. Maybe one could make a case about sex-work needing to be recognized as labor, so as women who partake in it are not left ressourceless afterthey hit the wall.

But yeah, you don't get to bang for bucks from 18 to 40 and then suddently turn around and wag the fingers at the men who paid you.

Have sex all you want; but you need leaders who can't be easily blackmailed. Disregarding morality or prostitution, having any leader or general whose dirty secrets can be bought and sold in order to cash in favours is an easy way for dodgy people to gain powerful pawns

Most of the shitflinging you see from the left on this crap is hauling off on the hypocrisy involved, not some kind of condemnation of sex work. You actually have efforts leftward to decriminalize prostitution and all sorts of junk aiming to kneecap that sexual coercion you're mentioning. To give a good example, a while back one of the English football captains had an affair with the news coming public. The media responded by asking if everyone wanted the captain to resign for setting a bad moral example, and everyone responded with a resounding "meh I don't see what this has to do with their ability to kick footballs." But the fact that the media was reporting on it allowed them to report on the growing media controversy surrounding them, allowing them to force their resignation with stories of "growing media calls for resignation." And that's just for d00d sports lmao, this is easily replicated in politics, where only the most shameless politicians retain their seats when those seats are put under a blacklight.
