Randomly found an interesting video on the somewhat old topic of Pete Hoekstra, highlighting the difference between US political journalism and Dutch political journalism.

Trump's top lawyer (lead lawyer in the Russia Probe anyway), John Dowd just resigned because... surprise surprise, Trump wasn't following advice.

Follow your heart, Mr. President. Those eggheads don't know better than you on how to handle this Russia business.

If you can't even keep your lawyers around, it really is time to stop and take stock of your life.

....yeah yeah, I know. But there's a first time for everything.

...Okay, no. No there isn't.

Well, it might not be too surprising if Trump can't keep lawyers around, specifically. He's famously a cheapskate and you know how lawyers feel about money. :P

Well, this makes the interview between Trump and the Mueller investigation more likely, at least in the sense that he's lost someone arguing against it.

What about the new one he just hired? Not sure what his position is on Trump talking with Mueller.

What exaclty is the legal punishment for high treason in the US, for offenses like, selling your entire country to the agenda of a malevolent foreign state?
Do you guys still do walls with a firing squad?

It is theoretically possible to be sentenced to death for treason, though in modern legal contexts getting a treason charge at all is almost impossible. The exact punishment and running of a death penalty trial for treason would likely be caught up in extensive judicial review, almost certainly requiring the Supreme Court to establish new precedent.

Those in federal custody are only executed via lethal injection, otherwise it defaults to the method of the state the crime took place in, which also usually is lethal injection.

Oh, Trump announced that the steel and aluminum tariffs are not going to apply for the EU.
Guess he realized it was going to cost the US more than it was going to bring in.

Argentine, Brasil, Australia and South Korea are also exempted. Canada and Mexico already were.

EDIT: Hah. Could become another issue for the Brexit. Exit EU, face US tariffs. Although the UK will probably be exempted in that case as well.
