I'm not.  Remember the stupid oil pipeline?  The one that was in direct contravention of treaty? The one where fucking teargas grenades, and worse, were deployed on people, causing them to nearly lose arms?  The one that leaked the very next fucking year?  Yeah. that's pretty indicative of how protests get handled in the US today.

I still hold by that the US government has a LONG tradition of violence against peaceful protesters, when those protesters are protesting something that either the government is doing, or supports.

Dakota access pipeline?  Big oil interests, in line with current government's political agendas concerning increased oil dependence, and shuttering of alternative energy. Treaty? who gives a shit about indians, this is the US, and that is inside our border! (except, it totally isnt, per the verbiage of the treaty-- go on, read it!)
