"I used to like to go to work but they shut it down
I got a right to go to work but there's no work here to be found
Yes and they say we're gonna have to pay what's owed
We're gonna have to reap from some seed that's been sowed
And the birds up on the wires and the telegraph poles
They can always fly away from this rain and this cold
You can hear them singing out their telegraph code
All the way down the telegraph road"

I've always liked birds.

Turtle power is green energy - in other words, yes.

This seems pretty cool.  It's specifically anti-weapon, not anti-nuclear-energy, and it withdraws millions of investment dollars.  Theoretically other investors will step up, but altogether it seems like a meaningful statement and action.

Ah it's just about investors - I was confused and like - "Wait I didn't know NYC had its own nukes in the first place...."  ;D

SCOTUS punts S.B.8 back to the lower courts in Whole Women's Health v. Jackson. The law is still in effect in a 5-4 ruling.

In an 8-1 ruling, judges and court clerks cannot be sued, at least for pre-enforcement challenges. Licensing officials can be sued by the abortion providers, however.

SCOTUS, in Marbury v. Madison shenanigans, is dangerously close to noping the itself and all the courts out of the definition of state or federal government.

That was I was going to ask. Does your army is also divided by states or something? Like elector counts from warhammer?

The Mad Titan who rules Florida seems to want that, but no, not otherwise.

Every state is allowed to maintain both a state National Guard presence and a state Militia presence. Most states do not opt to have a standing militia, but they are legally allowed to.

Extreme late-season tornado outbreak in Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, and Illinois. Collectively longer track than the Tri-State tornado.

Estimated 50 people dead in Mayfield, Kentucky, and some 200 trapped in a candle factory.

An Amazon warehouse has also collapsed in Edwardsville, Illinois. Some 50-100 people are reportedly trapped there.

The numbers are likely to change.

EDIT: Downtown Mayfield, Kentucky, is more a suggestion right now.

Damn, some heavy shit over there indeed. The town of Mayfield basically ceased to exist.
