The whole idea is kinda preposterous. And even if it did happen, well nobody there would write that tweet blaming homeless people in that way. It's a conservative victim blaming caricature of what homeless people are like.
Also why wouldn't the organizer ask for vegetables and grains? Fruit and oats and soy/meat substitute. There's literally nothing you can prepare with that list of ingredients. Who is going to eat meat substitute and soy products literally without anything else. Unless it's meat substitute flavored oat porridge sweetened with the fruit :/
Seriously ridiculous list. What you'd do if you need to feed a lot of people is buy 20 pound bags of rice, potatoes, beans etc. That list was written by trolls who got to that bit and went "Uh, quick, what do vegans eats again?" and each of them chipped in one thing. And that's the list they came up with. No lentils, rice, pumpkin, cabbage, chickpeas, etc. I'm not a vegan but I could come up with a more convincing list of what you'd buy to feed a lot of vegans, and they don't put "meat substitute" as the first thing they think of, because only meat-obsessed people would think to put that first.
EDIT: if you google the twitter handle on that account, it doesn't exist as an account as far as i can tell, only the pictures.
