You know things have evened out a bit in politics when puns about baked goods are the toast of the Ameripol thread.

Well, nothing's moved the needle yet, so yes, they have. No real surprises in Ronnie being utterly unsuited to run the VA, or in the courts' ordering DACA reopened, or in Ryan's retirement meaning that Congress is planning to do essentially nothing until after the election. Trump's run out of ways to shock us and nobody in his administration knows how to do anything else.

In other words, we've reached the point in the train wreck where the only thing left to do is to see what if anything we hit before we stop, and that's a very homogeneous part of the proceedings.

Yeah, what with Trump doing absolutely no vetting, which would have otherwise caught these problems.

Also, thread title suggestions? Been a while. I did see the endless scarecrows suggestion earlier, but nah.

I have to say, the pro-Assad propaganda I've been seeing on the internet scares me. People are already violently denying that the chemical attacks even happened. It's a transparent lie. I've never before seen how vast the psy-ops network is, and how insidious.

For all that, I don't think it's effective, since the conspiracy-prone love Trump and see his action as justified, and those that have reason to dislike Trump tend to be against genocide and pro international cooperation, and so aren't exactly going to support Assad.

Don't be so sure about that. I've seen quite a few posts from antiTrumps that condemn the strikes. Many seem to be certain that the targets were pure civilians, while others equate the chemical strike to domestic scandals such as Flint or the pipeline protests, and point out that nobody bombed the US for those.

Also, remember that RT has been vehemently opposing the idea that there is any evidence of the chemical attack ever happening, and has been citing other European outlets as sources to garner believability. And that RT shows up on Google's feed of news stories on the mobile homepage.
