How absolutely depressing

Yeah, this decision was absolutely not in anyone's best interest except for banks currently involved in major legal difficulties and the politicians they bribed donated lots of money to. Class action suits are the way that individual consumers can be protected from fraud and the way that very large companies can still be forced to follow the rules. Removing this removes one of the most important forms of protection for consumers.

I wonder what the prospects are for solar panels to survive hurricanes.  Maybe you could disassemble them and move them under ground somehow?  Or just off the island.

What I always think when people talk about helping Puerto Rico is.  Like yeah this sucked, but what if they get hit again next year?  Of course we still need to help them but hurricane relief efforts aren't going to be enough if it takes months to get things back in order and the hurricanes get worse every year.

Edit: Also, if you read the article to the end, Google's parent company has decided to deploy balloons.  God help us all.
