Private and personal property are different. A house, a car, your toothbrush are all personal property. Unless your house somehow doubles as a factory, most non-authoritarian communists wouldn't have any interest in messing with your house.

"doubling as a factory" can be a real thing though; that is exactly the case with "cottage industries", like people who knit and sell on etsy.

Sounds more like just changing the word 'private' to 'personal'.

I thought 'cottage industries' wasn't that literal. Though, of course, craftspeople (in the days before industrialization) tend to have the things that they do their craft with in or very near their home.

Eh? No, there's definitely a few flapping around. Gods know I don't want to go digging at the moment for names, but there are some scattered around the country. End of the day, for all right-wingers are our prime source of domestic terrorism and the militias one of the notable contributors there, we do have left-wing examples of the same sort of thing. Just not as many, as well organized, funded, etc., etc.
Redneck Revolt is one, but they're honestly pretty pathetic from what I've seen. Some of their guys were at Charlottesville, but they didn't do anything. Their only major achievements so far are showing up armed to counter-protest a Trump rally full of families, and putting out a hilarious training video where they fire ARs and ancient combloc guns at paper targets literally 10-20 yards away.

The reason there aren't many left-wing militias is actually even simpler than Helgo's point: left-wing militias are much more politically active than right-wing ones. Right-wing militias focus on survivalism and occasionally blow shit up, while left-wing militias try to push political action. This draws Fed attention: Feds infiltrate, entrap, and lock them all up.

Which one draws Fed attention? Your last sentence is ambigous.

And isn't Redneck Revolt the gun loving anti-Trump one? Read about them on a politico thing a while back. They aren't the 'lets end government!' type, more the 'lets gather as a single appalachia voice!'. I may be thinking about a different group though.

Then it would probably fall under workers already owning the MOP, since they're the only "worker." If there's other people living there and also working, then it would probably be considered a commune and everyone who lives in the house owns it collectively. It varies by movement and this is rly not the thread for in depth discussion on how various anarchist and communist movements would handle stuff.

Only the most extreme collectivists would think about considering some old ladies house as included in the MOP, that much I can say with certainty.

I'm mobile posting, meant to say the political stuff draws federales.

Redneck Revolt claims to be actual rednecks but (leaping to judgements) their necks seem pretty pale, and I think they're mostly city kids learning to use guns with a couple actual rednecks teaching.

If you want of a leftist militia getting rekt by the government look into the Weathermen. Groups like that (albeit far less successful) used to be just as common as 'right-wing militias' are today.

They went into bombing campaigns. As soon as a group starts doing that, they're going to get rekt by the government regardless of ideology.

If only there was a game about some kind of squad of liberal criminals....

Incidentally, also based on some leftist militants.

Yeah, generally when you had left wing groups forming militias it ends in "anarchists blew up ____ today" and then the government jumps up and down on them.

Right now though we are suffering from an aversion to anything socialist-flavored in our government. Profit based healthcare, education, infrastructure, policing, prisons, defense, governance, these are fucking insane but we've got them all here, hurray!

Quote from: Latest Trump Tweet
Homeland Security and law enforcement are on alert & closely watching for any sign of trouble. Our borders are far tougher than ever before!
Borders do nothing if the trouble is already inside them.  Whoever you talk to (even islamophobes and white extremists), this is just meaningless as a solution to the 'problem'.

A distraction from something, maybe?
