0.9.0 is currently being worked on. So, this mod isn't gonna die.

We have 3 new plants so far coming for you to harvest this update! So far, they are modded in variants of vanilla plants. Kinda like how some of the races in this mod came to be. Why, you might say we're going back to our roots! Ahahahahahahaha, bad plant joke.

The variants:

Swamp helmet: Bright green mushrooms that have descended from the common underground mushroom (and staple of dwarven diets), the plump helmet. They grow in temperate swamps and marshes, yet grow only in autumn and winter. Use them to make bog wine, a somewhat better drink than typical booze. Eventually planned to have a syndrome that causes joy in whomever drinks bog wine. Yes, that's possible.

Moon berry: The evil equivalent to sun berries, these bright white little things stand out from the rest of the dreary and dead landscapes of evil regions. They may not glow like their counterparts, but they can make a good kind of booze called lunar liquor. Not as good as sunshine, but close.

Kimen berry: These bright red berries grow in the savage savannas and they have an interesting ability! When brewed into doctor's wine (a fitting name), it will boost recuperation for 2 weeks! A dwarven body can heal faster when drinking this! Amazing! Only one to have a syndrome so far...

Good news, everyone! I've decided to combine the features of the 0.9.0 update (Wholesome Living Update) and the 0.10.0 update (Bestial Update) together for the NEW 0.9.0, now titled as the WILD WORLD update!

Hmm... could you provide a raw-only version?

9.0 IS OUT!

Also, looks like people want Dark Elves as a playable fortress mode entity...

10.0 is almost done! Anyone got an idea for a semi-megabeast? There's gonna be 2 new ones in this version, and one's the thunderbird from Native American folklore.

Burrunjor and Drop Bear.

I'll consider these for 11.0 as normal creatures.

Speaking of 11.0...

Any ideas for it?
