I cast "Drain Mind" on the Beetle, It's not quite as commonly known as Necromancy as Drain life is, But used Right is Equally Lethal.
[6+2]Larry spits a series of hexes while waving his wand at the giant rhinoceros beetle, and it drops limply to the ground. Although still alive, it's mind and instincts no longer exist and it is brain-dead.
The necromancer "humph"s triumphantly before considering further course of action.
Seriously. WTF.
Just try my best to survive. See if I can use anything to bandage myself up. Also, see if I can repair my elemental.
Crimson coughs up a bit of phlegm and blood, knowing very well that he is on Death's door. Perhaps he'd be the first among his group to die to the denizens of the Labyrinth.
Or perhaps Fate would smile upon him, and he'd live another day...
The pyromancer hears a slithering noise nearby. At first, he figures it is a hallucination but after it persists for a few seconds he uses what little energy he has left to move himself towards the sound.
It's Ax's body. What must be the upper half of the Agonist's torso is vibrating and making hissing noises. A moment later, the chest bursts open and a blackened heart-shaped stone rolls out. Fleshy bunches of tendrils coming out of the stone heart's valves drag it to him. He knows it is likely some sort of final attack, and that it is going to kill him and there is nothing left for him to do.
As it situates itself near his chest, it makes clicking noises and gurgles a bit. The tendrils begin digging inbetween his ribs- as they do, he feels somewhat invigorated. Despite the fact that it is ripping open his chest, he feels a surge of life within his body. The object seems to be pulling his heart out, and once it finally does and his companions have noticed the stone's shockingly silent movements it forces itself into the opened chest cavity of the fire mage. Crimson closes his eyes, preparing to die.
Except he doesn't. The stone is integrating with his body. The gaping hole starts sowing itself shut at an unnatural rate, and Crimson jerks upright. Although he feels revitalized, something about his skin feels wrong and he can't help but feel that his vision is 'tinted'.
((I feel that banning Mr Bones from explosives wouldn't be unwarranted now.))
"Hey, you guys mind helping me deal with this demon? Mr Bones, I'd really appreciate that thing you did early to make the probability of my success better."
((CAN'T STOP WON'T STOP))
RATTLE
Desummon my treasonous mortar, if it has not already done so itself via ka-booms. Instead, summon an M388 Davy Crockett, set right up on top of this hill here. If, for some INSANE reason the universe considers my summoning of portable nuclear weapons to be unreasonable (Fucking killjoys) summon instead a simple recoilless rifle.
[2+1]Dismissing his mortar,
Mr Skeltal produces a tiny rail-pistol instead of a recoilless rifle. It is also broken and waterlogged, he notes with a heavy heart(despite lacking a circulatory system, or blood for that matter).
The wonders of crystals. While I wait for my legs to regrow, see about making a crystal bow, for long ranged crystal injecting action.
Perhaps ignoring his summoner companion, Trier [5+1]quickly forms a crystal longbow in order to compensate for his ability's rather short range. It should work nicely, and has even better range than he intended. Enemies would no doubt find themselves being ripped apart from the inside by crystals, provided Trier hits them.
Attempt to take some loose fabric from what's left of Ax's robes, and dress Crimson's cuts with makeshift bandages. Also, if I have time, search through the Cathedral for !!LOOT!!, 'cause, you know, I can't summon everything I could possibly need.
((WHAT ARE SPOILERS?))
After witnessing the.. miraculous? sight of Crimson's mystical heart transplant, Y4R takes note of the fact that only the incisions it created are healing- his other wounds are still bleeding. In order to remedy this, Y4R gathers pieces of Ax's shredded robes and attempts to dress his wounds. [1]Y4R is a robot, and not the kind that is programmed with coordination good enough to suit medical duty. As a result of this, he accidentally jams his fingers into the wire-like incisions covering Crimson's lower torso. This doesn't seem to deepen the wounds any, but it hurts like a bitch. At least, it should. Crimson doesn't seem bothered by it though- to everyone's horror(especially Crimson's)the flame mage unwillingly lets loose a raucous laugh.
Cautiously backing away, Y4R swears under his breath and rummages around for loot. Near the shattered remains of the altar, he finds an empty golden chalice. It has skull designs carved into the sides, and small snake-like creatures are depicted slithering through the empty eye sockets and coiling around each other. It feels as though it is more than a typical chalice, and Y4R has the feeling it is rather valuable.
Wow. See who needs immediate treatment, and give them some help. Also, begin to loot the cathedral, as I deserve some of the treasures that surely exist somewhere here for my actions.I was pretty lucky, wasn't I?
[5]Arcodo treats Crimson's wounds in a manner similar to the cyborg attempted, although with actual success. The bleeding should be under control now, but as things stand Crimson still needs to rest his broken bones unless he wants to try to tough it and risk permanently screwing them up. Arcodo begins looting, and rather than searching the altar like Y4R did he stars by looking under the pews crammed near the corner. He finds a coin made of a reddish sort of metal, and figures that it'd pay for a reasonable amount of items. Otherwise, it seems to have no particular purpose.
Have Prismata use her precognition to help me avoid the demon's attacks and to hit it with my attacks, or adapt if my attacks are ineffective. Also have her use it in conjunction with her light magic to blind the demon or destroy its eyes. Summon the demon onto the blade of my gladius, forcibly binding him to the Chimera with my Demonology.
[2]Although she attempts to, Prismata proclaims that she can not open her third eye currently and is temporarily blind to the future. Because of the binding magic, Tobias knows that she must be telling the truth. As the goat-man swipes at Tobias with both of his clawed hands, the summoner notices an acidic substance dripping off of the tips of his talons. [4]It partially connects, jolting the mech around a bit but ultimately dealing only superficial damage. The acid must have weakened the armor plating near the area of impact, though.
Tobias [2]misses completely with a slash of his gladius. How unfortunate. [2+2]Prismata blasts a beam of UV light through the ring's gem, and the demonic beast shrieks as it's skin bubbles and boils for a couple seconds- her magic must be especially effective against demonic creatures. While it is stunned, Tobias attempts to use his knowledge of Demonology to bind the demon, or at least halt it. [6+1]As Tobias finishes invoking several various Infernal Laws, the demon before him finds itself bound in white-hot chains from head to toe. It flails about momentarily before falling over to the ground and squirming. The goat man lets out a roar of rage that slowly dies down to a constant growl. It is bound within a Circle that has burnt itself into the ground around it. For the foreseeable future, it is immobilized and anchored to this Plane. Now would be the time to either banish it to Inferno, unless Tobias feels ballsy enough to try fully binding the demonic beast.
((Completely off topic here, but I'd like to know since we are approaching 20 turns if anyone has a problem with the way I am GM'ing. If you do have criticisms, please make sure they are constructive- since this is bay12 I have no doubt they will be, but I'm just making sure.))
