Summon the following items:
Pair of sunglasses
One of those reflective, heat protection suits
A guitar pick with a little skull on it. So Menu-ride doesn't steal my fucking finger. I use that to pick my nasal cavity.
After that, head through the West gate and try to figure out exactly what those statues are made out of. If anything attempts to rattle my bones, put one of my now better armed meat shields between me and it.
Mr Bones attempts to summon some items to make the coming expedition easier.
First, he tries producing sunglasses[3+1] which turn out a little weaker on the whole light-dulling thing, but they should help to some degree.
Next, a heat protection suit[6+1]. Although successful, it's a little large. It should fit on him, but it won't be extremely comfortable(Like it would have been anyway).
Finally, a guitar pick for Menuridae, complete with skull motif. [3+1]An adequate guitar pick appears, but it lacks the skull motif.
Handing it to the siren, she decides against stealing his finger.
He enters the West gate with the others tailing after him.
Great... it's just as bright as Mr Bones remembers, almost blindingly so. The cavern is shiny and unwelcoming, as well as expansive.
As the group steps through, however, you hear the glassy ground beneath his bony foot creak oddly.
It may be a good idea for the group to keep walking slowly here, so as not to break the glass-like floor and have shards to pick out of their feet.
Walking up to the statues in the center of the chamber, Mr Bones prods them a bit and. They don't move, and they appear to be made of the same luminous glass everything else is.
Menuridae steps through he west gate with Mr. Bones. She decides to try out her new instrument to see what it does, and what more convenient targets than those statues. She steals one of Mr. Bones' fingers to use as a guitar pick gives the instrument a try.
Menuridae is the first to enter after Mr Bones. She readies her Flensing Guitar and prepares to test it on the glass statues in front of her.
[4+1]Luckily, this guitar is similar enough to a lyre for her to pick up relatively quick. Strumming quickly and viciously with the pick Mr Bones gave her, she somehow aims the sound in the statue's direction. The blast of sound leaves many cracks all over the two featureless figures, not to mention the environment around her. Maybe she should play sparingly, she didn't want to bleed everywhere after all.
Disturbingly enough, she sees that the statues she targeted look decidedly less rigid and stiff than before as they begin to move.
One of them attempts to slam its arm into Mr Bones[2], but narrowly misses as he sidesteps away from the statues and pushes Trier towards it.
The other starts glowing more and more before [5]exploding into glass shards that home in on Menuridae and lodge themselves into her left leg.
The immense pain shocks her, and blood begins flowing out of her left leg.
"I don't like the look of this place..."
Begin stepping toward the hill thing, sword drawn.
"This place is unnerving me. Anyway, I'll tag along if you're fine with it."
Sense for any signs of magic around the area. Next, since I'm not sure if conjuring flames here is safe or even possible, head towards the hill along with Y4R-M8 while being cautious, trident readied.
Meanwhile, in the South Dimension..
The disgusting muck makes 'glop' noises as Y4R trudges through it. Crimson seems to concentrate intensely before catching up to Y4R and following him close behind.
Right before they would reach the shore, the thick sludge makes bubbling noises that Crimson reacts as though he noticed before Y4R did, leaping back to create distance with his trident readied.
Y4R notices a little too late though, as a corpse-like thing launches itself out of the bubbling goo.
It appears to be of some elf-like humanoid species, and is wearing heavily torn leather armor. He raises his arms above his head and swings them down in some kind of zombie haymaker.
"G-GODS HELP MEEEeeee!" it screeches as it delivers an off-kilter strike to Y4R-M8's chest, knocking him back a bit but otherwise leaving him undamaged.
Since Y4R was repelled, Crimson is the first one who gets a chance to hit it- [1]but when he lunges with the trident he is unbalanced. Falling to his knees and dropping the trident into the muck next to him, he feels like vomiting as his upper body slams into the pungent ooze.
Noticing his companion's complete failure, Y4R fights the urge to swear and attempts slashing the suffering elf-thing with his monomolecular blade.
[6+1]The blade passes through it's neck like a hot knife through butter, leaving a slurry of blood and bone behind as it lops off an arm and the elf-thing's head.
Screaming as it is viciously cut, the tortured soul's body dissolves into the same muck that coats the ground.. that must be how it gets there.
(Y4R-M8's trait guarantees that a 6 or more is an instant kill on almost all targets)
Dismiss the iguana since it seems Mr. Bones didn't want it. Mount up on the Mecha Chimera and follow the others through the west gate. See what the Mecha Chimera is capable of, if I can.
Inside the mech suit and on the back of the Chimera automaton, Tobias notices that the group is in conflict with a glass golem.
Hopping off the chimera, he notices a notification on the mech's UI.
"ENEMY DETECTED. INTEGRATING ROBO-CHIMERA MARK II."
The chimera morphs, it's three heads retracting and beginning to resemble miniguns. It's legs fold into itself, and it's wings do the same.
It is now a gigantic tri-minigun, fit for wielding only by Tobias's mech suit.
Picking it up and letting it attach itself to the mech's right arm, Tobias [2,2,3] lets loose a barrage of high-caliber ammunition that misses the glass man, but thankfully misses Trier and Mr Bones as well. The glass behind them, however, shatters spectacularly. Due to each of their unique physiological characteristics, it does no damage.
Trier follows after Mr. Bones, keeping his shield up and spear ready.
Trier stepped through before Tobias did, so he is there to witness the start of the conflict.
After Mr Bones evaded the remaining glass golem, he was shoved in it's vicinity while the skeleton turned tail and tactically retreated.
He jabs the spear in the glass man's direction[2], but it manages to shimmy a bit to the side before what would be impact.
Follow mr Bones, its wise to follow sentiant Skeletons, Right?
Ignoring any warnings about mysterious boners he'd ever been given, Larry follows after Mr Bones, Trier, Menuridae and Tobias into the West Gate.
Immediately he notices the conflict that has broken out, and decides to keep his distance for now. Surely those four could handle that one golem.
South, since most people are going that way. Stay closer to the back of the group. Ponder/check archives on odd objects/materials found there; it may be another world, but there could still be similarities to known substances.
Arcodo arrives to the same disgusting, dank swamp-like land that the other two did.
Arcodo is, however, a significant distance behind them.
Beginning to trail them at a moderate pace, he jumps a bit at the sounds of conflict. The sight of Crimson's outline lying on the ground shocks him, but what surprises him even more is Y4R-M8's sword inflicting a gory death on the no longer upright silhouette. Arcodo arrived just as the fight ended with Y4R's skillful strike against the tortured elf.
[2+1]He digs through his memory bank, but finds nothing that explicitly applies to anything in this dimension.
There is, however, a book on slimes of various kinds that mentions a rather mundane slime monster colored similarly to the sludge he and the others are stepping in.
