About encumberance
« on: January 19, 2017, 08:26:27 am »

One time, (that time when I accidently beheaded my only companion) I thought it was a good idea to pick up all those beautiful shining coins in the bandit camp. There were some hundreds but hey, they are just little coins.

Night fell and I slept confident in my martial skills. "Perhaps I should grind my wrestling on them this time, or maybe try to break their spines with multiple kicks in the neck? I'd love to see the bogeyman crawling after me  :D" I thought.

I joyfully read the cackling msg eager to split some scrawny, little necks when...

I cant stand up!

Yes the bogeyman were able to hit my legendary dodger not just one but enough times to make it bit the dust with all those coins  :P

So Id like to ask, is there a way to tell when your carrrying too much stuff? Like enough stuff to compromise your combat performance?

You want your (movement) walking speed to be 1.000. Here, you're even with everyone else in terms of actions per turn.

When walking speed is significantly lower, you act less often per turn, and begin to accumulate penalties to defense.

This can be seen when you have, say a character with level 6-7 shield user/dodger and get hit by the zero level wolf or the level 1 bandit. Aside from attacks of opportunity (noted in your attack menu by cyan !), what else could allow those lower levels to bridge the stat gulf and hit you?

It's the lower movement speed, particularly speeds of around .300 and lower.
