Eric was getting exasperated. "Because only one of us is wearing armor and its not you! You're going to get yourself killed if you aren't careful!"

"Hmm, no that seems unlikely. I might get hurt, yes, but we now have two healers so it's highly unlikely I'll die. Besides, I have the range advantage. I am being careful about it."

"Staves don't fix dead! Dammit, why are people so willing to throw caution to the wind just because some goober with a stick is standing nearby!?!"

  "Mind showing me a price list anyway so my crew can plan ahead?"

"Wandering towards four armed men is not 'being careful'. There is always going to be risk involved in ventures like these, but risk mitigation is going to be the key to success. That means you send strong defenders to meet a bunch of clowns with axes, not your spellslinger!"

"And Dale, I will not dignify that with a response."

  "Fair enough, but I'm going to take that as a 'yes'."

"I think one of them has a sword... Also if they're used to fighting with axes it likely means they're less likely to know how to deal with magic, so using magic to fight them makes more sense, doesn't it?"

She seemed clueless to whatever Eric and Dale were talking about, much more concerned with why Eric seemed to think she was helpless.
