Dale patted Caius on the shoulder companionably.

"Gilbert, you've got a horse right? What's a good name for one? I think I'm going to be keeping that guard's for awhile."

"Let's hope so. I want to be know as Mr. Grump for as short a time as possible."

Gilbert scratched the back of his head.

: "A name for a horse...? That is a difficult question, mon amie. I cannot say that I have ever owned enough of them to think about their names. Usually it is a, how does one say it, spur of the second choice based on temperament or coloring. Perhaps if I were a breeder I would be more creative of necessity."

[SeriousConcentrate]

  "Guess it's going to just be 'Horse' then. I'll probably sell it on later, once I'm done with this job."

"That hole was there before I got here. I did figure out the tome, though."

[SOLDIER First]

Caius suddenly coughs once.

[SeriousConcentrate]

Dale turned to him and raised an eyebrow. He shrugged a shoulder as if to say 'whatever's on your mind, go ahead'.

[SOLDIER First]

"Hm? Oh, nothing, sorry. I had something in my throat."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"All right then."

Dale looked at his trusty bow and sighed.

  "Damn wood on this thing's gonna snap soon. It'll be a damn shame when that happens, it's been with me a long time."

[Sirus]

: "You should get with the times, friend. The crossbow is the way of the future! Even if the only ones here are...a bit lacking, let us say."

"Maybe if you lack strength or training. Otherwise, I think the longbow will be in service for a long, long time to come."

[SeriousConcentrate]

  "I don't use either of those. I prefer shortbows. Not saying I can't use them if I get my hands on one, but I find this type easier to shoot."

[Sirus]

Gilbert shrugged. They really should get a move on, and this wasn't the time or place to expound on the superiority of new technology.

: "In any case, I regret the loss of your bow. I am certain it served you well, seeing as you have outlived it."

Sea gave Ava a small smile, glad to hear that there was another mage among the group now. Turning back to the counter, she hesitated before sighing.

"Well, I suppose versatility is my best option. Plus the weaker spell tomes tend to hold more magic inside of them. So... Ma'am, may I purchase Static and Fire tomes? And again, I really would stress that you might want to leave sooner rather than later... Oh, uhm, Dale and Eric... do you want to go buy equipment then? There's plenty of money here after all...
