"So you're one of the ones who hates people like me... Interesting. I suppose you're the one who was harassing my contact as well... You should have done a better job at finishing me in that case."

Sea didn't even bother pulling the magic out of her bracer this time. She simply punched the air in front of her, aiming directly at the mounted man. A sphere of glowing magic burst forth to slam directly into the man's chest and knock him off his horse.

With his commander on the ground, the archer ran off to the north. Or he tried to, anyway, before a knife found its way into his neck. As the man clutched his neck a hooded man in a blue cloak stepped out from behind the building. When he noticed Seaiga he quickly made his way over after retrieving his knife.

"So you're Sybil's apprentice, huh? You sure seem talented enough anyway. On to business, do you have my payment? I'd like to get out of here as quick as possible."

[Sirus]

Gilbert breathed a sigh of relief as the battle ended, then set about healing the wounds of the injured. It was, after all, the least he could do.

[Swordstar]

"Huh? Oh, you're ok. That's good. Why were they harassing you anyways? And yes I have your payment right here..."

She paused as the image of her master popped into her head. "Never do anything for free Sea. If you help someone, make sure that you get some sort of return on it if they're not your friend."

Well this man wasn't her friend, just a business associate of her master... She hesitated and then continued,

"Though, uhm... we did just save you. I feel like maybe... maybe that's worth a bit of a discount?"

[SOLDIER First]

Caius quickly stepped between the two and gave Eric a quick once-over before Mr. Upstart could steal his job.

_{"More than a bit of a discount, if you ask me."}

[SeriousConcentrate]

  "Looks like I missed all the fun. Bah."

Dale didn't seem all that upset about it.

[Sirus]

: "It is a good thing you did; the fun may have involved getting a hole in you."

"They wanted to search my goods for magical items. The magic ban isn't even in place yet so I told them to buzz off. They persisted so I told them to buy it if they wanted it so bad. Then they tried to arrest my so I took off and killed any of them that tried to follow me." He paused and gestured towards the unconscious commander. "By the way, what are you gonna do with him?"

"The only thing you saved me was a bit of time and a new knife," Zephyr answered stoically. "But I'm sure you won't take that for an answer and I don't want waste time arguing with you if you're anything like your master." He sighed. "How much of a discount do you want? I'm not allowing anything ridiculous, you hear me? I'll call the deal off and find another buyer, no skin off my nose."

[SOLDIER First]

Caius whispers to Sea.

"With him? I hadn't even thought about that... It's worrying that they're already attacking mages and targeting magical items... But I don't think I would be comfortable killing him but leaving him alive could be problematic since he knows our faces... And seems unlikely to forget mine... Ah, well... Uhm, I suppose that maybe... 20% would be fair? I mean, your time is valuable after all and we did save you that as you said. And... And I think that my master would smack me if I try for less than that so..."

[I_Like_Pi]

"It won't really matter in the end, will it? If you want I can tie him up so that by the time he wakes up he'll still have that to slow him down."

"Ah damn, that much? Fine, I'll just overcharge your master the next time she needs something quick and in bulk. Keep 2000 of the gold when you hand it over. It'll take me a bit to set everything up since they delayed me so go spend it on the shops or just keep it for your master."

[SeriousConcentrate]

  "That's a mighty fine looking horse he's got there. I could confiscate it, put him on the back after you tie him up, and leave him somewhere. It'd give us time to do our business and scoot on out."

: "You may as well. He is in no condition to complain."

"That'd work just as well, if not better than what I had in mind. I'll do whatever the apprentice decides on."
