Dale flashed Quetzalxochitl a thumbs up.

  "Nice shot. If we can keep this up we're gonna just soldier right on through these poor bastards."

Quetzalxochitl looked quizzically at the gesture for a brief moment before dismissing it as weird barbarian customs, simply nodding in acceptance of the praise.
"The feathered serpents must be pleased. It has been a good start to battle."

  "Then let's give those serpents of yours a good show, know what I mean?"

[GiglameshDespair]

She nodded.
"If we capture any alive, we can do a more proper sacrifice."

[SeriousConcentrate]

  "Now that's something I'm curious about. I'll try to only kneecap one of 'em if I can."

[SOLDIER First]

”Yeah, so, I’m gonna be the only voice of reason here and say absolutely fucking not. We don’t need MORE reasons for these assholes to want our heads on a platter, alright? God damn.”

[SeriousConcentrate]

  "Caius, we're here to kill them all and take over their country. In for penny in for a pound, might as well get hung for a sheep as for a lamb, et cetera, know what I mean?"

Quetzie gave the priest a unimpressed look at his interruption.
"They are already attempting to kill us," she said as if pointing out the obvious. "Another reason does not matter because they will not survive to say."
She crossed her arms.
"The feathered serpents would help ensure our victory. They may have as many reasons as they wish. It does not matter if they are dead."

[SOLDIER First]

”No! No I don’t know what you mean! Human sacrifice, Dale. Human! Sacrifice! What even the fuck?”

“Sorry to disappoint you, Quetz, but us barbarians over here on the mainland are so... barbaric that we don’t like human sacrifice very much. It’s taboo. Very bad. Definitely can’t do it. You understand.”

[SeriousConcentrate]

  "Ain't you got even a little bit of scholarly curiosity in you?"

[GiglameshDespair]

Emerald eyes rolled before they looked back at the one-eyed man.
"Why? They are going to die. Best to die for the gods."

[SOLDIER First]

”No, Dale. No the fuck I don’t.”

He pinches the bridge of his nose, takes a deep breath and lets it out, then turns to Quetz.

”I don’t know. Okay? We just don’t do it. It’s.. it’s considered too... disrespectful. Better to just kill them in the moment. You’ll probably piss off a lot of them if you try it yourself.”

  "Hell, Cai, if you're worried about your soul you can just let the two of us do it. We won't bother nobody else with it."

"To be fair, it's not like we were planning on letting them live regardless.

. . . Not that I'm in support of this, mind you, just that I'm not exactly gonna lose sleep over it if it does happen."
