Celestials: Creatures of Creation, very few are able to Transverse the Void between Existence and Nonexistence, But those who do are often the most powerful of all.  They often take the Form of Glowing people and animals.  +2 to Creation, -1 to Destruction, -1 to Void Actions

Infernals: Dark lords of Destruction, Ravaging the land and enslaving the creations of others, Many are Capable of moving through Void but few do once they have Servents.  They often take Corrupted forms based off those of the Celestials.  +2 to Destruction, -2 to Creation

Deep Dwellers: Natives of the Void, Those who live in the Deep are Primal, Capable of drawing Deeply upon the Void, Yet they have a hard time *Just* Creating or Destroying.  Those of the Deep take forms odd to others, things which should not live, Things unable to live. +3 to Void, -2 to Creation, -2 to Destruction

the Unbound: Mortals cast off of other Places who have Grown to Massive power in the Void, Few live long Though those who do are among the Strongest whom may arrive.  They tend to have simple forms, though it is not rare for one to bear an Exotic Shape.  +1 to All actions, can not Change form.

Titans: Massive beings of ancient power, Titans form in the First moments of a world though few survive, Those that do are thought to be able to make or break anything though they lack a link to the void to draw upon.  Titans Take a Variety of shapes although they oddly tend towards humanoid.  +4 to Creation, +3 to Destruction. can not change form, can not draw upon the Void.

2 Fail, you make humans... Only they seem to be lacking Limbs... and eyes.
3 Minor Fail AKA your action Sorta works, you Create a Fish... Only it breaths air.
4-6 Success, you make humans and they are human.
7 Good Success, You create humans and Everyone of them can use magic.
8 Mega Success, You create humans and Everyone of them is a minor god in their own right.

It's written by Terry Pratchet. The whole series is quite Brittish, and strikes the perfect balance between hilarious comedy and intriguing drama and action. The books are incredibly good. Terry Pratchet is often lauded as one of the best writers of all time.

So, you mentioned we can change race whenever we want unless we are a race that can't change race?
