Bio: Descended from nobles in a time before the city moved past feudalism Izalith Garthos became enamored with the idea of nobility at a young age. Told stories about the ‘good ol’ days’ since early childhood she has come to believe that her noble blood entitles her to many more things than the world has given her. However, the simple fact of the matter is that in Uhambra she is little more than the equivalent of a peasant as the ‘family fortune’ was more in part to land owned than in material wealth which has long since evaporated.
Despite these circumstances, or perhaps due to them, she has vowed to retrieve what has been ‘stolen’ from her family. After all her family rose to prominence before and they will do so again. Blood is the most important determinant of one’s life after all.
This has led, over the years, to a somewhat unfortunate connotation however: She has a deep fear of thieves and has little respect for those without noble bloodlines. She can tolerate them but is quick to let them know that she is better than them due to her pedigree.
Beneath it all, however, lies a dark fear: That perhaps nobility truly is what the Uhambra say it is: A misplaced product of a bygone age. Deep within herself she doesn’t know if her family will ever regain a semblance of their old power and, perhaps, the common man truly is their equal in every sense.
