Did you manage to find a place in Melbourne, or did you end up crawling back up to Queensland after all? Even if your Melbourne place crashed and burned, at least you gave it a go. I'm proud of ya. Although I am curious to know how long you spent mooching at number 51 before working up the courage to make the leap to wherever...
Been on any good trips lately? Really got to make the most of Summer, y'know. Hopefully we'll start doing that in the much nearer future than 2018, really. Oh, you did see Windhand and Cough on tour, right? I'm 99% sure you will/did. How was that?
Not to mention all those shows with bands like Merchant, Headless, Jerkbeast and what-not. How was that JB show the day after your birthday!? You need to treasure memories of all these gigs. And preferably not drink yourself into helpless unconsciousness like what happened at Melt Ya Face fest! At least, not until the bands finish and you aren't missing out on really experiencing them.
Making friends and strengthening friendships would be great, too. It'd be nice to have more close friends with similar taste in music!
The ones you already have are pretty good too, though. Try not to forget that.
Speaking of them, do you still get embarrassing panic attacks on the ol' charras? Have you improved your dancing skills any? Oh, and what kind of new shoes did you end up getting?
Right now I don't really have any ideas of what kind... hopefully you managed to get the perfect balance of style, comfort and function, a shoe equally capable of tearing up the dancefloor, kicking its way through abandoned buildings or stomping about in the mosh. Something rugged-yet-stylish. Probably a bright green or red colour, that'd be cool!
I suppose I should ask about your romantic failures at this point. *sigh*
Go on, spill. How have you embarrassed yourself this year? Did you ever see J. again? Anyone else?
Can't really even think of any other potential love interests at the moment, honestly... Or have you simply tried to avoid such things altogether to prevent embarrassment? That's embarrassing in itself, ya know. You're one charming, handsome devil when you get right down to it, you just need to have a bit of faith in yourself.
Oh, and start taking better care of your hair. I hope you have by now. Did you smash some guava juice into that scalp of yours?
And of course you'd better have at least that first planned tattoo by now/then.
Even in the present moment you have enough dollars in your savings to easily afford what we want! Just get on with it! I know it's pretty daunting having to go into such a place and start discussing designs, but, at least this time we have a good idea what we want.
Maybe do a vague sketch of it to show them? I hope you don't end up waiting until you've somehow found time to actually brush up on your drawing skills to do it yourself. That'd take a while, I wouldn't want any half-assed tattoo designs, especially when it's a design so close to our heart.
Ummm, I guess speaking of drawing, I should ask about your artistic endeavours.

had any artistic endeavours? I'm sure you've at least doodled something at some point, but, what about music? Do you have any instruments by now? Have you recorded at least something? Gods, I hope so. Did you ever get yourself some proper art supplies and a place to work in?

Maybe you just focused on the arms and kept the rest of your physique nicely slender, that's kind of what I was planning on trying to do.
Oh yeah, and what kind of phone do you have? I'm gonna laugh if you're still using that same $15 phone from Woolies.
Sure it's good for what it is, but having to do
all that clicking would surely have driven you insane by now.

I'm sure there's something I could grab from PRAI$E, but this laptop does a terrible job of scrolling up through there. Is that group chat still ongoing, by the way? That would be quite impressive.
