((But only two if we can get just one more person to help out. Dunno how many people are still on the drill though. Worth a shot.))

Darvaza quickly runs over to the nearest intercom to adress the rest of the drill's crew.
"Would anyone mind helping us out real quick with this suit thingie? It'll only take a couple hours of your time. And I'm sure there's a lot to learn, it's quite an interesting challenge!"

Dig: Builder Purgatory.

Sit up, and look at the lights and the waterfall.

(No knowledge?  Damn.)

Bargthor-47
Knowledge for what? The thing you're not researching?

You sit up; you're just tall enough that your head breaks the surface. The cave you're in is quite large, judging by the distance and spread of the lights, but you can't really make out anything. It's pitch black so the only information you have about the shape and size of the room comes from where the lights are and where they are cut off by things getting between you and the cave ceiling. There seems to be a lot of columns in this room, black lines that cut through the glow. Judging by their appearance, they're natural columns, all soft rounded edges and bumps. What those lights above you are, you're not really sure; they're too far up for you to see them clearly. Actually though, several of the ones above you seem to be either getting brighter, larger or closer.

Got it, how about we double the cost to 2 mind per +5 skills, so to get the +20 I have to sacrifice 8 mind. Also, I have 25 mind, which is pretty low

Help with the spotting if possible

Spoiler: "Razorblade" Rede (click to show/hide)
How 10 mind for +20 flat without option to do less for less cost? That way it becomes something big and powerful but dangerous.

Verne looks around for treasure, hostiles, the source of the glowing he saw earlier, where the river goes, and anything else, shoving people out of the way until he has the best view in the crawler.

((Verne has maximum find, guys))

Verne, being best finder, volunteers to take a look around.
98/100 Well.

Verne squints out the port holes for a few minutes and then nods his head knowingly.

Dig: Builder Purgatory.

Mephistopheles: "Within the bowels of these elements,
Where we are tortured and remain forever.
Hell hath no limits, nor is circumscribed
In one self place, for where we are is hell,
And where hell is must we ever be.
And, to conclude, when all the world dissolves,
And every creature shall be purified,
All places shall be hell that is not heaven.

And yet I'd still rather stay here
Than be a builder in Piecewise's Dig."

Begin to make our way down the stream, Sticking to the left and trying to get to the left passage. If we end up seeing any engine heart shaped figures pick him up.

Is there an exterior light on the crawler? If there is one, turn it on. If I don't know, look for one a button that might turn one on.
Do we have a way to communicate with the bore, like a radio or hardwire?

Yes, expending two mind per point of body regained is exactly what I expected.  How much knowledge does the technique require, and how much knowledge did Sifeebt get from his fight with Nameless and Vokun?  For reference, Vokun got 30 knowledge, despite losing.

Also, I editted Sifeebt's split between body and mind to be 19/81 rather than 20/80.  I'm assuming this is okay unless told otherwise.

Did the rope come down with me?  Observe the lights while trying to protect myself from them.  Keep them from getting too close.

Rolling rolling rolling. Keep Rolling rolling rolling.

Bargthor-47

The rope remained firmly anchored back with the bore. Of all the knots you failed to tie, that was not one of them.

The slowly descending lights are actually spheres now that they've gotten a bit closer and you can see them. It's hard to judge their size from this distance with no point of reference, but they seem to be at least 15 or 20 feet in diameter. You back up a bit and they don't change directions, they simply continue to descend.

You get 20 knowledge from the fight since you came in last, but the total for that technique is 350.

Rede squints at the control panel. [Control 0] He has no damn idea what anything does. So he makes his best guess and presses one of the bottons on the console.  The crawler leans hard to the right and Tony slaps his hand away from the controls.

"The hell are you doing man? Sit down."

"Does this thing have lights?"

"Maybe, hold on." [81/90]

Tony looks over the controls for a moment before pressing a button and flooding the area in front of the crawler with light. The light reveals the riverbed and a fair distance in front of the crawler.

"Does it have a radio too?"

"Yeah, gonna be short range underground though."

"OUT OF WATER" The zombie man shouts, walking up behind Tony.

"Yeah yeah, fire bad. Whatever."

Tony drives the crawler down the left passage, with the flow of the water. After a few minutes of clanking along the floodlights reveal a sudden drop; the edge of a water fall. And beyond it, just barely visible below the rapidly rushing surface of the river, a massive open area filled with shimmering greenblue lights.

Can I see one of them having water flow through it?  Or passing through solid matter?  Do I think these things are material?

Oh, and how much knowledge to have an ability to store knowledge without a goal?  You know, as a pool or something for use with another ability later.

actualy, my character is supposed to be female, on an unrelated note, I'll add bio and description back into my regular sheet. Anyways, I'm going to see what I can spot outside of the crawler.
