Thank you for the most generous year to date! Clearly you understand what we are trying to do by bringing Dwarf Fortress to the world free of charge. Because of your generous gifts, this year we were able to bring you enhanced automation options in fortress mode as well as a whole new adventure mode site building interface! Of course this all pales in comparison to the things to come. Artifact quests are on the way, and soon after the much-anticipated myth generator will bring new meaning to your randomly generated worlds!

Ten years of Dwarf Fortress, and now we're entering 2017 with some exciting developments underway and on into the future. We'll continue to work on the artifact release until it is ready, and then after some bug-hunting, we'll be ready for whatever the myth and magic release brings. It's genuinely interesting... I have no idea how that's going to play out at all when the ingredients are mixed together! But first, artifacts and agents and dwarf squads on dwarf missions! Thanks to everybody who helped us out in 2016.
