Hmmmm... Try to magically enhance our remaining wolf. If it succeeds, give him a name based on his enhancement.

Do we know the nearby civilization's language? If so, we should start planning our first visit to the nearest city. We should find a way to earn and hoard some cash so we can start hiring henchmen (instead of mind controled wolves) and start taking over the city until we amass considerable economic and political power.

I suggest that we try to mind rape probe the wolves further for now, trying to find a way to enthrall them indefinately without constant MP drain so we can keep our precous MP for times of need.

I guess it is possible to eliminate the upkeep cost if we somehow can probe deep enough into their brains and "write" our orders there.

search for another magical being, like a pixie. try to learn from it. ... but make sure not to have any detached pixie bodyparts hanging from your mouth from the ones you ate earlier, that would be bad diplomacy.
If we can get information from the mind of the wolf "ask" it for the den location, then get some impressible young wolves and charm them to help with taming. Take over one more wolf if there is an alpha. Use up the Herbs if you do.

this is still tied up. between going to the city, enhancing the wolf, and trying to learn from a pixie.

Take shifts with the wolf to harass the owlbear for sever days, Barking and threatening when it tries to sleep, scaring away prey, Breathing poison at it while gliding between trees. After a while it should become enraged, then after the rage wears off it should be physically weak and mentally exhausted and an easy target for Mind Crush.

You locate a pixie den. they, however, are too scared of you to leave their nests, leading you to become enraged and kill them all by crushing their nest. -2 to diplomacy.

We should imbue the wolf with mana giving it some kind of power, preferably the power to sense magic source to make it a more reliable source of mp. Also remember that it's a magitek setting. Lowering our diplomacy will bring us trouble in the future. Instead of killing things ourselvea, always order our thralls to do so. Always take the diplomacy ways if possible.

Enthrall a pixie. Send it to a pixie colony to request a magic teacher on your behalf and to offer a truce between yourself and the pixies of this, um, hill? Valley? Somewhere we can leave with a day's travel if we suddenly have a desperate need for pixie flesh... Then release it.

Capture several pixies with our wolf and use them as magic practice!
Eat their corpses when we're done with them to regain the mp we used on them.
