Begin wildly striking at his feet to knock him onto the ground, then aim for his head.

You try to distract him, "Hey! Look behind you!" But Ogarod continued to stare at you intently. "Don't help me, I need to fight him alone!" Ogharod now looked nervous. "STOP! That's dishonorable!" Ogharod quickly spun around, shields ready to block an attack he thouht was coming, but realized his mistake. You run up and cut his leg as hard as you can, renting through his armor and cutting the sword all the way to his bone. He groaned in agony as he fell to his knee and counterattacked. He swung his two-handed sword to keep you at bay. You try to strike at his head, but he parries your strikes. You try a lunge, but his armor deflects the shot. He is nearly defeated, but you need to finish him.

Throw your sword in the air, then charge in with your fists while he's looking at it. Punch him once, then back off as the sword falls into his head.

Ogharod was weak, and not nearly as dangerous as before, but he could still kill you in one strike. And you were not strong enough or skilled enough to hit him. If you used magic or your pockets, Ogharod would become a martyr and the invading orcs would overwhelm the remaining defenders. So you have to defeat him legitimately. To start, you throw your sword up in the air towards him. His eyes instinctively follow to judge whether or not it will hit him. While he was doing those mental calculations, you run through his guard and punch him right in the jawbone. His whole head turns from the impact and he swings his sword in your direction. You back off immediately, dodging his attack. His head whips back around, angry at you, but anger was the last emotion he made. The sword you threw earlier came straight down into his skull, embedding itself in his scalp. You expected a dramatic death from such a strong foe, but in reality, he just fell foreward quickly, and lay still at your feet.

There was a massive roar from the defenders as they turned on the orc spectators, who were still in shock that their leader died. They looked around for other leaders, but you killed all of them earlier... Except one. The one who you tossed survived the fall, and was blowing a horn in the distance. The orcs all started to retreat, climbing down the ladders, or even throwing themselves off of the wall. It seemed the lone officer was calling off the invasion. You didn't understand why he would do it, but you content yourself with a victory. The defenders were pressing the attack, slaughtering as many of the invaders as they could before they could make it down, all while cheering for you and for the victory. Someone cut Ogharod's head off and brought it to the courtyard as a trophy, and already, the local taverns were giving out free caskets to the defenders. But you needed to see someone in charge. You had your suspicions that the Orcs were not the only threat to the kingdom. Just then, a young lad came up to you and said, "Arch Mage Gatzen has summoned you. Come with me."

You followed the boy into the keep, and through the royal hall. You suspect that the hall would be grand on normal occasions, but there was a haze to the air, dulling the appearance despite all the gold and precious gems all around. You kept following the boy into a side room, where an ancient man lay in a bed, with countless books on his nightstand. The boy says, "This is the person, Gatzen. He tossed the entire army on a whirlwind. I saw it myself!" Gatzen said in a soft voice, "good. Now run along, we need to talk." The boy ran out and shut the door. You were alone. Gatzen spoke. "How did you learn the way of magic? Do you have the blessing?"

(I'm out of time, and this next update will have a lot of exposition, so I'll leave that for tomorrow.)

You answer Gatzen as truthfully as possible "That Castralian mage outside the walls, I was just copying the symbols he was making and saying gibberish." Gatzen looked extremely surprised at your answer. "You made the exact same symbols as the mage? Show me what symbol you made." You hold up your middle finger, but unlike every other human you met, Gatzen did not seem to mind. "Impressive. For years, us mages have made that symbol a taboo, so that nobody would accidentally use magic destructively. But regardless, If you are indeed the Hero of Sheadoria, then you will need to learn magic both to protect yourself and to rid the land of evil. First, I want to to show me all the spells you have used already. Practice them on that statue on the wall. And speak clearly so I can understand your words. Then I will teach you what I feel you are lacking." You turn to the statue, and try to remember all the words and spells you know...

I'm really sorry for how short and infrequent these updates have been. But thanks for sticking with me.

You face the dummy in the back wall, and dramatically hold up your middle finger. An air of power begins to form around your hand as you tap into your magical power. You think of which spell to use, and decide to use the one you have the most experience with. "FUS RO DAH!" You shout and a torous of blue shimmering air forms and rappidly shoots towards the dummy. The entire room erupts in a series of loud crashes. Books, furniture, and decorations all fly into the dummy, and generate enough force to tear through the stone wall. Bricks start to fall around the hole, but not to the point where it collapses. Gatzen looked amazed and terrified at the same time. "Holy shit. I have never seen someone with magica that powerful since Darmora betrayed us... I'll tell you about that later. First, you need to fix this mess you made. Us this spell to repair damage: Graw Ti Dsoh!" You try as he suggests, and utter the phrase "GRAW TI DSOH!" And everything that was out of place was picked up and tossed back to their rightfull place. The sketchy damaged wall was back to full strength. Gatzen looked pleased, then asked you to continue with any other spells you knew. The only other one you knew was the one that slowed time down "TIID KLO UL!" you shout, and time around you slows to a crawl. The world remains like this for about a minute, before it comes back to normal. "And that's all I know" You say once the world returns. Gatzen looks pleased at your results. "Well, I must say, you learned all that from watching another mage, it should be easy to teach you more. You'd better sit down. Remembering this may save your life in the future."

Gatzen taught you for hours and hours until the watchmen called one o'clock. The castle was on high alert for any subsequent attacks, but there were also parties and celebrations as well. Gatzen taught you many spells, and you practiced them until you could recite them from memory:

Yor Toor Shul: Fire Attack

Gol Hah Dov: Read Minds

Zun Haal Viik: Disarm

Fo Krah Diin: Ice Attack

You had just finished learning the last spell when the same boy that brought you earlier came back. "King Tybalt II has summoned the Hero of SHeadoria." Gatzen looked dissapointed, but agreed. "very well. Good luck." And you left without another word. You went back into the grand hall, only this time, all the royalty were gathered. You looked at the head of the table, and there was King Tybalt II. His age surprised you. He was no more than 15 years old, but looked as if he knew what he was doing. He stopped the meal, then announced to everyone, "Behold! The Hero of Sheadoria! The defender of the walls, and orcslayer!" The entire hall cheered, but quickly grew quiet as the young King continued. "As is customary, the Hero must go on a quest, along with companions. Now, I say it is time we paid the orcs a diplomatic visit, but orcs only reason with those they respect on the battlefield, so I send you, Hero, to the orcish lands and to their capitol of Traglimec to demand they cease their raids on Sheadoria. What say you?" "I agree" You reply, not wanting to upset the king. "Great!" King Tybalt II says giddily, his young nature showing. "Now, you need 3 companions, as is customary. I have summoned the best in the land, for you to pick." 5 men and a woman stood up. The king introduced them one by one.

"This here is Nathan" The king said, pointing at an armored knight. "He is the best warrior in all of Sheadoria, and a worthy warrior to have at your side."

"This is Thalia" He said, pointing at a young woman, she had no outward skills apparent, but the King continued, "She is a master of the shadows, blending in, sneaking in, and assassinating people are her specialties."

"This is Roshan" He said, pointing at a what looked to be a hunter, "He is the best archer in the land, can accurately hit targets from rediculous distances."

"This is Paul" He said pointing at an old man with a grey beard, "He is a renown mage, not as good as Gatzen, but unfortunately, Gatzen is bedridden and could not join you."

"And finally, this is Sylvester" He said pointing at a brutish man. "He is the strongest man in the lands, and has won wrestling matches against orcs. If you want orcs respect, he would be the man to get it."

"You must pick 3, no more, no less. Those are the rules. Choose wisely.
