It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.

They do not. I have witnessed multiple dwarves reading for the first time.

Hahaha still laughing, she is more annoyed I wouldn't tell her what was so funny, so I told her when she woke up this morning.

She is still not amused, and I am banned from dfforum for life.....  good luck with that  ;D

To answer the implied question that isn't in the title, I believe that dwarfs without the reader skill can gain the reader skill in fortress mode if you have a library with books.  Or at least someone said as much sometime.  I'm relatively sure it's correct because all of my dwarfs are spending their time learning about the fascinating subject of cauterisation even though the prose is cruel and not particularly well written.  I'm pretty sure only a handful of dwarfs had the reading skill previously.
