As someone who personally spends most of the time making games more than playing them, the idea struck me as surprising that they're actually might be people that just come to play the games without actually making(which is great!). Then it actually struck me that that might be the common thing. Well then I got curious so here's a poll.

This is all strangely familiar to my Starcraft: Brood War days. Good ol' StarEdit. I still make games inspired by scenarios people made.

I started making games on GameFAQs. Smash Bros mostly. My good friend DamionDL has even followed me here, one of my first forum game players!

I would say I'm type c. I ran an RTD before, and am in the makings of another game with a friend of mine.

I'm not super active in this neighborhood, but most of my forum-game-related time is still spent making and running games.

In the past, I used to be the opposite, almost exclusively playing games (particularly mafia, or illustrated suggestion games here and elsewhere). These days, I still read a handful along with my webcomics and such, but I haven't really done any playing for more than a year. Same goes for spending more time making video games than playing them.

It's not that I don't enjoy playing games, but I enjoy making things considerably more! And someone's gotta make the stuff, right?

I've voted C. Even though I'm currently neither participating in nor running any forum game, I've created a few illustrated forum games. Unfortunately, neither of them did run for long due to lack of time on my side (and in one case lack of interest in the game(not on my side)). I think I have a list in my signature.
