I welcome the company. Especially after the attack by whatever hivemind it was that came to just outside my walls last night. Luckily it seemed not to like fire too much. Or at least, those it takes who are weak to fire are still weak to fire. Later in the night I think it sent a stronger body after me but for some reason it decided to spare me that night. Makes me wish that I was a wizard. One of the ones that could shoot fireballs. Unfortunately, I can't be a wizard since I don't have a beard.

Julio sets to stacking rocks around the cave entrance, making it much harder to locate. He also prepares a large pile of wood inside the cave for both firewood and to create spikes.

You easily hide your cavern, and get some wood when you finish. You don't have enough wood to build spikes, so you decide to just make a fire for now. You warm your hands over the crackling wood.

Han Yu and Feu/Skeliborn the Third

Han Yu and Skeliborn spend a while chatting, and Skeliborn agrees that Han Yu and his party can stay at his palisade, due to their shared distaste for the possessed.

You pick up a stone and try to shatter it. Nothing happens. You pick up a pebble and try again. Nothing happens. You pick up a grain of sand and try to just lift it a few inches in the air. You see it wobble, get excited, and lose focus. It stops wobbling.

You repeat this process over and over, and feel that the practice itself isn't helping you, rather the process of perseverance and the concept of practice itself are. By nightfall, you can actually see the grain of sand floating slightly. It's by no means helpful, but it's better than nothing.

Find a stick? Hell, you find a whole tree! You spend a while hacking off sticks from the tree. Your sharpened rocks help quite a bit. You have enough sticks to light a toasty fire, and make a few basic torches. That, however, can wait. First, you need a weapon.
