You are Atian Drakieng, king of Stultus Terram. Not much is known about you, except that you save the kingdom from the evil tryant Malum Tyranni using special powers. You are a strong warrior, having fought in many battles. (+2 to all battles with you in them.) Now that you rule the kingdom, it's time to make your first choices.

Spring 600

Your advisor gives you a few scrolls on how well the kingdom is doing.

3/10 Populace
10/10 Happiness
10/10 Loyalty
6/10 Army
10/10 Money
Wars: The United 3 Brothers.
Alliances: None
Truces: None
Trade Routes: None

The late Malum Tyranni gathered taxed the populace quite heavily during his rule, killing all those he didn't like. You needed a strong army to beat his, and since you are now in power the populace is extremely happy. However, before you can properly secure your kingdom, you must deal with his 3 sons. There is Stula The Paranoid One, Kilau The Ignorant One, and Klusa, The Intelligent One. They are far from united, however you pose the biggest threat to them, so they are willing to unite against you. However, it allready looks like Kilau wants to mess with you, he is currently at your gate demanding a duel!

A-Accept the Duel (Effects populace.)
B-Decline the Duel (Effects Happiness.)
C-Have the gaurds murder him (Effects Happiness.)
D-Fight him with a poisoned sword (Effects Happiness.)

You accept the duel, and approach Kilau. He hurls insults at you, mostly about shit, while you just stand there waiting for him to finish. Eventually, he finishes, and you prepare for a fight. You circle each other for a bit, each waiting for the other to make the first move, when suddenly, (5+2=7) you both charge at each other, however at the last second you dodge to the left, holding out the sword infront of him. The momentum carries him forward, and he is impaled. The crowd cheers, and you've now got some more land!

Summer 600

Your Advisor gives you a few scrolls on how well the kingdom is doing.

5/10 Populace
10/10 Happiness
10/10 Loyalty
6/10 Army
10/10 Money
Wars: The 2 Brothers of Unity
Alliances: None
Truces: None
Trade Routes: None

A few things come up during Summer. The first thing to come up is whether you should spend money on Mercenerias or not

A-Spend it on Mercenaries. (Effects money and Army.)
B-Don't spend any money.

The second is about whether we should strike at our enemies, or work on imprvoing the defences of the current kingdom.

A-Spend money on Defences. (Effects money and gives +1 to defense.)
B-Attack the enemy before it's too late! (Effects money.)
C-Eh, we have enough money, spend it on both. (Effects Money, Army, and gives +1 to defense.)

The third is for if we decide to attack the enemy, and it is about who we attack.
A-Attack Klusa, the quicker the smart one is out, the better.
B-Attack Stula before his defences become to hard to deal with.

1) B, we don't need any mercenaries! 2) A, if we attack the enemies without any defences, then we're screwed.

You think on it, deciding not put any money to getting mercenaries, and to work on fortifying the lands before you attack anyone else.
Some skirmishes still happen however, (6) VS (6) with both sides taking quite a few casualties, most ending in draws/wipeouts.

Autumn 600

Your Advisor gives you a few scrolls on how well the kingdom is doing.

5/10 Populace
9/10 Happiness
10/10 Loyalty
5/10 Army
9/10 Money
Wars: The 2 Brothers of Unity
Alliances: None
Truces: None
Trade Routes: None

You ask why the people seem to be getting slightly less happy, and The Advisor talks about a few unusually well organized bandit raids going on near the furthest villages that should probabally be dealt with eventually. However, before you are able to do anything about that, a messenger arrives from Klusa, asking for a truce, under one condition. You give up all your lands, and have to fight Stula for power. Idiot. You are about to tell the messenger to get out of your site, when you remember something. A while ago, you read a book on the Ancient 100 Rules of Ruling, that all kings are bound to. Was it rule 31, 32, 33? You can't remember, but you feel like there's something in there that is applicable now...

A-Search The book on The Ancient 100 Rules of Ruling for something that may be able to help you in this situation, while you send the army to deal with the bandit raids. (Heavy Impact Choice.)
B-Go with the army to deal with the bandit raids, reading the book later, assuming it's still there. (Heavy Impact Choice.)

B

Given the current state of our army it would be a safer choice to go with them.

((Rolling for option choice... 4. B it is!)) You decide to go with the army to help deal with the bandit raids. The closer you get, the more rumors there are, about a bandit king calling himself Sanguinem Sitiens. When you reach the villages where the raiding happened, you are almost immediatly confronted by his war party! (6+2=7) VS (3) His army is no match for yours, and you quickly overpower him. Mid battle, a few of the 'clan leaders' in the bandit horde turn against Sanguinem, helping with the slaughter. When you get back home, (4) you find the book you were looking for. You find a small section in rule 32 about dueling, and you find something that actually let's you tell Klusa and Stula to be in a 3-way duel with you, and they would have to do it! Nice.

Winter

Your Advisor gives you a few scrolls on how well the kingdom is doing.

6/10 Populace
10/10 Happiness
10/10 Loyalty
7/10 Army
9/10 Money
Wars: The 2 Brothers of Unity
Alliances: None
Truces: None
Trade Routes: None

Now you have a few choices.
A-3-way duel with Klusa and Stula. (Effects Populace, Money, and Army.)
B-Attack Klusa. (Effects Army and Money.)
C-Attack Stula. (Effects Army and Money.
D-Do nothing
