LoL is a game about horizontal and vertical integration. You can choose to control all aspects of your industrial output or you can choose to buy cheap, make something, and sell for a profit over and over again. Both work just fine, and for more advanced/intensive industries, you'll probably always be better off producing for yourself in the long run. I don't know what you're spending your money on other than startup costs and outfitting workers with items you can't produce locally.

Wow. I should probably up my taxes. I just noticed a few of my settles have like a 1k. Which is kinda amusing. Must be the smart ones buying the cheap shit on the market.

If you're paying them enough, just set the taxes to as high as possible.

Pretty sure weirwoods are rare enough that people already have painstakingly searched the entire map to claim them. Not just for the forest cults, the wood itself is extremely valuable, having a +25 for everything it can be used for - which appears to be everything but charcoal and roofing.

I've found a few unclaimed areas. I just don't like where they happen to be located.

That kinda surprises me. I'd kill all the trees around the weirwood and just see if I can farm the trees into spreading. Admittedly, due to how trees spreading and such works, it'd be one hell of a long time goal but still.
