Just as he's about to exit, he throws off the cape his was wearing this entire time, to reveal and almost completely mechanical body. As he exits, a few crossbow bolts shoot from an automatic crossbow on his left shoulder. Then he rushes out of the shop.

You hear what sounds like construction noices outside, before a few more crossbow bolts fly through the window. How the hell is he creating this all so fast? Unless... his mechanical body helps him?

From what you can tell, it looks the lion is already complete. And starting to eat people. Watching him build reveals his secret, and it is infact his mechanical upgrades, specifcally the tentacles on his back that he used to fix up S34N1C. You can see that while most of them work on the main project, which is currently the roc, the rest a few of them work on building small auto-crossbows around him. Most of which, lock onto you and (assuming he came out with you,) Ongong.
