Our main base of operation is Nuulyd and I prefer to spend a whole week detecting good in it. Having angel's agent here can be devastating. Also, sitting in the temple corrupts it with leaking evil

It is time to look for the angel's followers.

How about scanning dreams of Nuulyd residents while training Kate to control her dreams and influence dreams of others?

Yes, do this first in Nuulyd (let check our backyard), in the outskirts of Duke's castle, and later in Oegorda (They were the happiest with plenty of priests, it's very possible that the angel has some influence there, besides, they must becoming nervous with the lack of their lovely fungus)



Anyway, we want to find the angel. The site of the battle was cleaned completely, so we don't even have a corpse to raise and interrogate. As such, I think there are 3 options.

1. Draw them out : Do something evil (publically) and wait for them to react.
2. Be watchfull: Continue business as usual, wait for their next step.
3. Take the offensive: Start looking for non-evil locations, and see if the Angel is there. If so, blow it up.


1. Too risky, no.
2. Their next step will be hidden, they are being stealthy we will only spot them if they do a bad roll.
3. Yes, Let's begin a invisible war.


Other stuff :

1.  Try to start a Cult in Oegorda. Most likely, the wizard who spotted us is with the angel now. As such, there's nothing stopping us from spreading there.

2. Do something with the fungal fortress. I kind of want to transplant the mind-altering spores we created earlier to the fungoid forest, and use it as a source for drug running. Lot of misery here, so people will appreciate an easy way out. Should support our recruiting efforts.

3. Give our Klrntvs's something to do.

4. Look for info on artefacts, holy sites or other important stuff in this area that we can defile.
 

1. Yes, after the dream scouting we can see if there is something or just regular priests, if so we can begin to spread somehow there

2. Yes, It will not only help our recruiting efforts but maybe give some kind of resources. Our merchants will LOVE this.

3. errr... I don't know if they are smart enough to be silent, if our river is too deep and if our cult in the army were in charge of full ships they could help them. But now i don't see a way to them be used besides as a huge siege weapon when shit goes to the fan.

4. always.



Things that can be done

1. Send the smokewraiths to re-scout abandoned forts. One of them can be the new home of our rebels

2. Remember when i asked about arranged marriages?

It's not useful we make a lot of kids ourselves without thinking, there will be plenty of mothers to "care". But, if we are going to do things in the looooong run we could together with Mischa create a kind of potion maybe powered by the abortion ritual. Who drinks it get to have sex frenetically for some hours, and later the partner will be pregnant, it will have genes of the father of the mother, and of the devil. They will grow as cultists, fanatically with tendency to magic and being trained by our cult since childhood, we don't need to micromanage them but when they age our duke and merchants can marry their gifted childs to gain control, and theirs devoted newborn childs will slowly spread the cult's words in far lands, acting as blessed beings and raising our fortunes with our... potions of lust? potions of fertility? Evil drinkable sperm? Eewww i'm bad at names.

3. Scan dreams of Nuulyd looking for a powerful sources of good or any traces to disappearing tax collectors
4. Take Kate with you to travel in the dreamscape. Try to teach her how to do it herself. Also, have some sex with her during one of the trips, rewarding her for the nice job in your absence and hinting that her chances to become a favourite concubine are higher
5. Poke in the dreams of unborn child trying to communicate
6. Order Kate torture one captive as the first sacrifice to her own child
7. Order acolytes and Mischa to stop raising undead and start gathering&processing resources of the fungal forest.
8. Available ultraviolet imps, spectres and smokewraths should help detecting sources of good in Nuulyd


I prefer to finish the temple before ordering our cult to spread further and actively hunt for angel's minions. Using the forest is a great idea and our acolytes are wasting their potential on doing nothing amyway

We don't have a good source of evil for summoning.

I am a bit worried about Duke's security... How can we help his safety? We can summon him to the Nuulyd temple but he may be attacked on the route to it. At the very least we should order him to not leave the castle.

This isn't relevant to the discussion, but I've had an interesting idea.

We create a rapid-growing demonic, crimson weed, that naturally grows in the fungal forest. On its own, the weed acts as a medicinal painkiller that lowers its user's sense of reason and restraint. When the weed is burnt, it produces a large quantity of black smoke, that when inhaled, causes mortals to become extremely furious, and if enough is inhaled, causes them to go into an unstoppable berserk rage.

The ashes are a potent alchemical ingredient, useful for making mundane painkillers, disinfectants, and sleeping medicine, but that isn't the only use for the ashes. If a mage capable of manipulating Evil wants to, they can stuff a scarecrow or similar man-made organic structure with the ash, and with a pittance of Evil, awaken the ash's inner Evil. The ash will then possess the scarecrow and unthinkingly follow the commands of the one who awakened them and Nokluvgn, because they have an innate loyalty to him.

The scarecrows are pitifully weak, with only 0.5 Physical Might, and possess no Intelligence beyond what it takes to grasp and swing a makeshift weapon. They have no emotions beyond murderous hatred toward all things and total loyalty to their creator and Nokluvgn. The few advantages they have are a resistance to fire, the insignificant amount of Evil needed to awaken them, and the fact that dozens of scarecrows can be gathered and awakened with much more ease than it would take to gather and reanimate an equivalent amount of corpses. They appear to be ordinary scarecrows, but their eyes glow like embers, they exhale black smoke, whisper hateful insults in demonic tongue, and they have long barbed claws in place of fingers. Their attacks are demonic in nature, and wounds they inflict, while rarely fatal, almost always become infected and give the wounded vague nightmares of being torn to pieces.

Thoughts? I think having a horde of demonic scarecrows would be more interesting than a horde of zombies and skeletons, and eventually, when we go on the warpath, we'll want an enormous amount of unflinchingly loyal fodder to swarm barricades and soak up arrow-fire, the demonic scarecrows fit the bill.

The soul gets stored in a scarecrow which can be drained of ashes and used to make evil ash-core golems?
Unfortunately this probably won't happen because it would just make scarecrows more expensive to make.

Indeed, but scarecrows have a certain... feel to them that would be hard to get otherwise...

What if a scarecrow who kills an opponent steals their soul?
The soul gets stored in a scarecrow which can be drained of ashes and used to make evil ash-core golems?
Unfortunately this probably won't happen because it would just make scarecrows more expensive to make.

What if the attacks of the scarecrows wounded the very soul of the enemy? And when one is killed by the scarecrows or an infection from their wounds, their soul is torn apart and suffers eternal damnation, with the shattered fragments and pieces of its identity entombed in the scarecrows while the embers smolder within their very being, fully aware of the world around them, but unable to do anything to stop the endless, burning pain or the destruction their scarecrow vessel is inflicting on their friends and family?

Take Mischa To the dreamscape too, have sex with her too and make her mind-pregnant with a mind demon that only exists within the dreamscape and has the power and stealth to slowly corrupt or throw whole areas into a spiral of madness. I suggest we call it Drlknvr or any other shit without vogals like that...

Mischa is not a suitable person for a demonic romance. After all we offered her to become pregnant with our baby and she politely refused. We don't want to spend energy on making babies, too.

Also, Mischa is not good for travelling in dreams. She is not a wordbearer and have no innate talent to manipulating thoughts AND I kinda want our champions to have roughly equal power.
