NUKE.913, did the priest mention how many priests are meeting here?
Like a dozen? All the priests from the surrounding villages, plus a few more from Nuulyd itself.

Here is my plan:
whole bunch of stuff

We should then use those to raid other villages on their own, while we infiltrate the city, and find the thieves' guild. We should claim to be a wizard.
Slow down, good sir, slow down! Ardent Debater's plan is already thinking two steps ahead- who knows if you'll even reach the city safely? Or maybe something that happens enroute might change what you want to do? And think about my poor typing hands, making me write such an extensive update*

Meanwhile, I have no idea what you want to do! So I'm bringing back another thing from the old Demonhood by saying: Can we get a consensus?

Here is my plan:

One Sacred Wordbearer will stay at Fellshore to lead the cult in our absence.

We'll send the Brute Wolf to ambush and kill lone travellers and villagers alone at night. We have no use for him here, and he will spread Terror far and wide, distracting the attention of the Priests and increasing our income.

We'll send one of the Smokewraiths to scout out Nuulyd, and inform us of their numbers, devotion, and martial strength. We need to know what's going on over there.

After that, Nokluvgn will take the Mind-Broken Priest Slave, one Smokewraith, and one Sacred Wordbearer and go to the nearest city, burning and razing homesteads and small villages along the way. We'll mentally dominate the weaker minded villagers, and convert them to our worship. We'll consume the souls of the peasants who refuse to worship us, and turn their bodies into slave husks. We'll turn their dogs into weaker Dog versions of Brute Wolves. If we encounter any holy men, we'll break their minds and turn them into Slaves. By the time we're there, we should have 20-30 cultists, and plenty of Brute-Dogs.


This is my four-step plan. This is assuming that everything works well, I'm almost certain it won't work completely, but this is a good framework to use going forward.

We need a more organized voting system, I think, rather than this +1 business. This may add to the confusion, but I'll introduce my own plan, and if anyone wants to vote for it, just put the name in your post, how about that?

Going along with my proposed route of trapping the priests inside the building and burning them alive to turn them into more of our servants. Or corrupting them all at once or something.

This seems to be the most straightforward plan. The potential to corrupt or disrupt many spiritual leaders at once is a great opportunity.

If we're still wanting to spawn half-demon lieutenants I'd suggest doing our duty there before heading out. I'd suggest with the female wordbearer if we want to treat it like a reward, or with some random cultist(s) if it's just a task.
There is consensus to bring along the female wordbearer so maybe after we have dealt with the priests we can reward her with being a mother.

There is consensus to bring along the female wordbearer so maybe after we have dealt with the priests we can reward her with being a mother.

Hmm, we could impregnate the female Sacred Wordbearer and leave her to oversee the village, and take the male Sacred Wordbearer with us. It doesn't make any difference which we take, and it would be the most time-efficient option, assuming we move on to the nearest city.

Impregnating takes a lot of our energy away. We need every bit of it for a quite risky fight with priests

PS. Why so many bay12ers want to use any random female as breeding machine? They can fill other roles

Pretending to be a priest is difficult, but we could disguise ourselves and the word-bearer as bodyguards hired by the two priests.  Hired killers would be expected to have unclean minds to an extent and we would have an excuse to leave the gathering and wander the village.

I also want to make a pack of wolf monsters before we go that can follow at a distance.  They could pick off lone priests, invade the town and all sorts of mischief.

These are three things I wish fro us to keep in mind before i call this plan massively foolish. Do note, though, that i have no actual plan myself.

look at evidence 2. That gives us an idea of how many priest we will have to deal with. lets assume it would be 12. Then we have to look at evidence 1, Specifically the part on mental might. Obviously, as priest, these are learned men, so we are looking at the 2-3 or 2-5 points, range. Compare that to our current mental might (27), found in evidence 3, to the possible combined mental might of all the priest that are assumed to be there (24-36 or 24-60 depending on where you want to put that limit.) On the low end, we are evenly matched. On the highest possible end, we are far outclassed, overall. Even if you have the villagers sacrifice a small amount to you, not enough for an ana-*cough* a power leakage, lets say 10, since our last power leak was at 20, though our first was at 10. . .  maybe 15, seeing as we lost 5 from the last.
That means we now have 37 mental might to their, on the low end, 24-36. if they get to 30, which isn't to much to ask for, we are in trouble from their numbers. If our cultist push us over the limit, they have three pings, instead of two, to tell them that it was us. and we would be next to a priest, in the best case scenario, who would be known to be headed to our village. Again, we become prime suspects. that is even more dangerous, than getting caught with our pants down in front of the group of priest because then they can prepare, and we dont have the important element of surprise. The short term risks do not even match the long term benefits. And this is not to add in the fact that the burning of the building, which is probably going to be in a public area, will need to be done in a way to look like an accident, and that we died in the fire too, or else, once again, we are a suspect. But this time to a more powerful, or wiser eye.

What we need is something to buy us time for preparation, without drawing to much attention. I will lokk to see if we have another out in the story, but. . ..
