Fully corrupt the entire village, until they will sit and listen to you preach about worshipping demons without batting an eye.

We'll be severely weakened for a week or two, but we'll become stronger for it, and faster.

I like the use of mazes, fear, and flesh-tearing implements to exemplify Nokluvgn.

Hmm. I see there's discussion of Nokluvgn's theme, eh? Well, I think I have some ideas in line with what's already going on.
When I was creating his appearance, I actually pictured his smoke aspect being more prominent.

Let's choose a few of the most suitable villagers, and focus our corrupting efforts on them, until they are willing to worship us.
+1 While we maintain our corrupting influence on the town, focus on a few villagers that would be inclined towards our dark service. Perhaps friends of the town witch might be easily influenced. (The old priest did call her a demon worshipper!)

Corrupting the entire village in one shot will spend energy and/or draw attention of some possible nearby villages, or some taxcollector of the king for some war that must be happening (even if we just kill the taxcollector they will miss him and will slowly try to get their gold back)

One step at a time

You can corrupt a few weaker individuals and then focus on taking over the village and corrupting the more prized citizens. With that done, the village is your playground

It's a fairly small village, and I doubt any priests or mages will be showing up anytime soon. We should corrupt the entire village, we've been doing it for a month, and we're already profiting off of the ambient evil, if we step up the brute wolf attacks and increase the dream corruption, we'll be making enough Evil to keep us at a 4 or 5 which is more than enough to suit our needs for now, and in two or three more months, our stats will be in the 20s.

I think that this time around we should go with a more shadowy-puppet master rather than evil conqueror-king.

You should really look to the wilderness for your stealth ideas, it has been doing it much longer than you have after all. Take squids for example, that ink trick works pretty well, and in water too! So you just sneak into the dam upsteam, dump several megatons of distressed squid into it, then break the dam. Boom, you suddenly have enough water-proof stealth for a whole city!

Enslaving a few important villagers, then taking over the village, as that you may eat, enslave, or corrupt at your leisure.

But we already did evil warrior king? Wouldn't controlling every city and organization and empire in the world with cults across the nation?

Why be a king when we can be a god?

+1. Target the mayor, the witch, and the richest villager. Maybe a couple others.

Unfortunately the witch is dead, but her friends may be useful

We don't have to do it the same way again, but we do absolutely need to create active terror and destruction at some point, not just hide in the shadows and slowly corrupt the world. WE ARE A DEMON. Not exploiting that to the full is a good way to starve.

We can absolutely create active terror!
It's just that there are ways to do so other than directly leading a demonic army as a warlord.

Once we have fully corrupted the village, we can pick of any travellers with impunity - and, since the village is under our control, blame it on bandits. Fully indoctrinated, the populace won't "spill the beans" about their demonic faith either, and be deceitful alongside of our plans and schemes. We can even welcome any soldiers the local kingdom might or might not send, pick out the "worthy", strong ones to secretly imprison and slowly but eventually corrupt - and feed of the unworthy ones. As long as their commander sends a "clean" messenger with messages that fit the bandit theme, we won't be easily suspected either.

As soon as we have fully established ourselves, we can get to all the fun stuff, be it demonic beasts, corrupted servants, covens of dark mages, and similiar designs. Not, like we are lacking in ideas on here. For now though, while a bit boring, I'd say we play it "safe". Well, not like the GM is likely to give us "easy mode reign" either - I'd expect some pitfalls alongside the way, to keep things interesting. Either way, it'll be fun, surely.
