Go into the woods and find a wolf. Transform it into a wolf demon thing.
If an apex predator is found dead close to the village ripped open with its guts strewn all over the tress, people WILL worry.
+1 both
Tonight let's find a pack of wolves and modify one, leaving the remains of the others.

If we're going to be doing all this sickening pious stuff it might be good to have a distraction.

Being infront of the public eye we need to have something or someone that can do things that we can't be. Something hideous to do the very dirty work. And perhaps inspire our sermons.

+1, I support this as well, but we should prioritize corrupting the villagers. Later on, we should spawn as many half-demons as possible, as they'd make excellent, and more importantly, loyal, lieutenants, and would be able to spread our Demonic influence far and wide more efficiently than corrupted mortals.

Hey, NUKE9.13, when we've accumulated a large stockpile of power, will we be able to gift scraps of it to our mortal followers, to give them demonic sorcerous abilities?

That happened in the last game, I think.

By various methods, yes. Though something else that happened in the last game: you pumped too much power into a single mortal and he literally exploded. Heh heh heh.

I guess I should start porting over parts of the GLOSSARY.

EDIT: Done! See the second post. If you want anything added to the Glossary, just ask!

We should do the bear thing, and then lure them into doing dark rituals diguised as helpful prayers and then stop for a while with the killing. The ritual should call upon Shadelings, lesser demons that whisper into the ears of the tempted.

We could have that planned "shadow" of ours, raze the village shrine - and afterwards rebuild it into a far more wretched version of it. Possibly.

How about we gather some information - this time, without using power; If our "replacement" is thought to come "to soon", we just let our wolves loose as soon as he arrives, and then blame all of it on him. Either way, we should go full salem witch-trials - on the pious.

You open your first sermon in the normal manner, speaking of Jilganheim, worshipped in these parts as the god of freedom. But you soon start talking about Jilganheim's other aspects- those of chaos, madness, and spite. As you speak, you apply your powers of corruption to the congregation, ensuring that none of them will think anything amiss. You feel little effect so far, but over time, you should manage to corrupt many of the villagers.

In the meantime, you spend your nights leaving the village and heading out into the surrounding forest, abandoning your human disguise, flying between the trees as you search for a suitable vessel.
On the first night, you find nothing. Perhaps the beasts of the forest are more attentive towards signs of Evil than humans?
On the second night, you are again unsuccessful. You take out your frustration on an oak tree, smashing the trunk to pieces, and setting fire to the remains.
On the third night, you are about to give up, when you feel a sense of hunger in the distance. You follow this feeling until it leads you, at last, to a single starving wolf. It growls weakly at you, but makes no attempt to attack- recognizing even in its famished state that such a move would be suicidal. Having found a suitable host -albeit less than you had hoped for- you set to work, seizing the wolf and revealing to its primitive mind a brief glance of your true form, causing the wolf's cries of terror to echo through the night. You silence the wolf with a word, then carefully pluck out its eyes, and then, as the wolf spasms in pain, you materialize two burning coals to replace them. You carefully pour some of your power into the beast, granting it unnatural strength, then set to work reforming its tortured mind to suit your whims, granting an increased intellect, a demonic hatred of all things pure and righteous, and unwavering loyalty to its creator.
Once you are satisfied -or at least, as satisfied as you are going to get with this level of power- with the results, you release the devil-wolf and command it to terrorize the inhabitants of Fellshore.

Over the next few days, pleasant news reaches your ears. Villagers have gone missing in the woods, and some report being stalked by a massive wolf with glowing red eyes. An aura of fear begins to permeate the village, enhanced by the subtle influence of your dark sermons. You drink deep of the mortal terror, and feel your energy begin to replenish somewhat. Still, you remain hungry on a more physical level. You therefore decide to
-Snatch a villager from their bed and eat them
-Hypnotise a villager, luring them into a secluded area [where?] and eating them
-Have your minion catch a villager and keep them alive, so that you may eat them
-Go on a diet

Required: Action
Optional: Name devil-wolf thing (not an individual name, but a name for the species, in case you create more later)

Name: Nokluvgn
Physical might: 6 (-1: Summoning)(You are getting hungry)
Mental might: 6 (-1: Summoning)(+1: Terror)
Followers: 0
Slaves: 0
Servants: 1 - One devil-wolf thing

Actually +1 to
How about a good ol' false flag?
Create a small host with a few men of the village (no more than 10 at most), as to "bless" the surroundings - possibly hindering the beast by making it more difficult to approach the village, or even driving it out alltogether! As if. Instead, it is a trap - prepared for one night? - where the wolf will be able to easily assault several of the men, and drag them into the undergrowth. You will "stay back", as to confront the beast, and emerge bloodied, but unsuccessfull.

After this event, we will gather the villagers, and try to drive out "the taint" with "prayer".

Edit: Make sure to push the blame for this event unto the previous priest, but also find partially fault and responsibility with the villagers - their inaction in regard to the priest, was a main contributor for this mess.
