Eat some people. Even children will do. Maybe some domesticated animals if desperate/hungry enough.

A tall stranger enters the village of Fellshore, making his way towards the inn. Once inside, he orders a plate of raw meat and a pint of water, then sits in a corner and listens.

"I hear the mayor is going in person to Vabalin to find a new priest."
"Hopefully one better than their predecessor, gods bless their soul."

"I'm telling you, if I caught any more fish I'd've sunk me boat"
"And I'm telling you that I could sink two boats with my latest haul!"
"Give thanks to Imber, eh?"
"Well, yes. But not a tenth of my catch. Two fish is enough, surely."
"It was enough when we caught a score of fish a day, why shouldn't it be enough now?"
"Cheers to that!"

"...do you think it was a wolf what ate him?"
"Shh!"

The stranger responds to a request to pay with a wave and a NO, which the innkeeper accepts as totally normal, then ponders his next course of action
-Investigate this departed priest some more
-Investigate this casual blasphemy some more
-Investigate this wolf some more wait no it was you who ate him you already know this
-Do something else


Name: Nokluvgn
Physical might: 10 manpower (You are as strong as 10 (average) humans. A well trained human, with the right equipment, could best you.)
Mental might: 10 menminds (You have the mental power of 10 (average) humans. This is equivalent to a highly trained human- an archmage, or somesuch)
Followers: 0 (willing mortals- follow you in exchange for power, or for not being eaten)
Slaves: 0 (unwilling mortals- you have broken their minds, if not their bodies)
Servants: 0 (Monsters under your command- be they mutated mortals or lesser demons)

What if we somehow presented ourselves as a priest to the mayor? Then we could be hired/recruited/whatever it is they do with priests to work as a priest for the town, then we have near-total impunity to "convert" the town into followers!

Summoning creatures is for later. I suggest smoke-based minions, once we get to the point of summoning them.

I do approve of the 'impersonate a priest' plan though.

Let's find out more about the departed priest, for now.
