resume human form, rough ourselves up, draw some blood. Look injured. Send the wolf off. Then stumble back to town. Telling them the demon escaped, but you managed to injure it. In the night. Currupt there dreams

This entire Charade cost us 3 mental and 3 physical, and gained us only two of each. Pretending to be good clearly doesn't work, as it's antithetical to our very being.

Corrupt the dreams of the townspeople. Send 1 of them a vision of wards that need to be applied to keep the Wolf out, but that will in fact spread corruption

Making it seem that we're dead isn't a bad option too, honestly.

This entire Charade
has just started though? Take note, that after the initial damages, we started harvesting their fear. We already are preaching a dark gospel to them, without taking any damage. If we stop now, then we will actually loose out.

I say we keep at it, and get us some servants or corrupted hearful.

Addendum idea:
Corrupt their dreams with the goal of making them fear the unknown (or something similar) more and to rely on us, the 100% good not-evil priest for guidance.

You should really look to the wilderness for your stealth ideas, it has been doing it much longer than you have after all. Take squids for example, that ink trick works pretty well, and in water too! So you just sneak into the dam upsteam, dump several megatons of distressed squid into it, then break the dam. Boom, you suddenly have enough water-proof stealth for a whole city!

Oh hello. Demonhood was great, and now it's back? Back! PTW at the least.

Pick out one particular human and make them love us, think we're the best, that we're the bestest person in the whole world. All for a massive payoff when we pluck their eyes out.

Oh hello. Demonhood was great, and now it's back? Back! PTW at the least.
I love hearing about people enjoying Demonhood who joined the forum after it died lay down for a few strange aeons. Might I ask how you discovered it?

You pick at your teeth as you re-apply your disguise, though you make sure to appear beaten and injured. You stumble back into town, leaning heavily on a tree branch used as a makeshift crutch, and explain to the concerned villagers that whilst you managed to drive the beast off, their companions were already dead.
A villager asks how you got blood around your mouth.
You wipe it away with your hand whilst dismissing their concerns with a brief blast of mesmerism.
The confused villagers ask how you managed to drive off the beast without weapons, and you make up something about chanting holy prayers at it, or something. They seem somewhat unconvinced, but again, a brief application of your hypnotic powers sees those concerns put to bed.

The coming nights the entire village is struck by nightmares, as you invade their dreams, filling them with signs of your coming. ((But what signs are these? Tall, emaciated strangers with burning eyes has kind of already been done. Please come up with a theme for Nokluvgn so I don't just end up repeating the tale of Krlnkir Yrlvnt.))

During the day you preach your ever-darkening gospel, explaining to the perturbed villagers the essentially uncaring nature of the gods. As with your survival story, it requires some mind tricks to prevent the villagers from questioning how and why a pious priest is preaching such seemingly ungodly things. Fortunately no one dares question you, as at your current level of power you may not be able to turn outright disbelief into belief- at least not without expending some of your precious Evil energy.

Over the course of the next two weeks, you slowly work away at the minds of the villagers, corrupting them more and more. Eventually blasphemies are being spoken aloud- though not within the shrine itself- and you breathe a metaphorical sigh of relief as a steady stream of evil energy begins to converge on you, drawn forth from the villager's minds.
Your relief is short lived, however, when a new stranger enters the village. Dressed in decorated- though not extravagant- robes, bearing a staff with the holy symbol of Jilganheim at its peak, this travelling priest seems to immediately notice that something is amiss. He meets with you in the village shrine to discuss the issue. Obviously, you
-Eat him. The sooner you get rid of him, the better.
-Break his mind. It would look suspicious if he outright disappeared, and having another 'holy priest' on your side could work to your advantage.
-Try to convince him with words and deeds of your holy nature. Because this worked so well in the past.
-Do something else.

PS. Have you seen the Glossary? So far all the entries in it are copied from the old Demonhood glossary, but if you want any new entries added, just ask!

Breaking his mind, doesn't seem like a bad idea - neither would be to just eat him
A travelling priest? He most likely won't be missed anytime soon. If we convert him, we can make sure the suspicion amongst the villagers stays low, and he can write a letter to anyone expecting his arrival. The least dangerous option, though one which would cost us some energy. We would also have another helper, and a disposable scape-goat, should things go awry.
If we eat him instead, we will gain some energy, but that would come at the risk of possibly garnering some suspicion with the outside world and villagers.

Try to convince him with words and deeds of your holy nature. Because this worked so well in the past.
Yeah, how about we not take the choice which drips with sarcasm, should cost us about as much - if not more - than converting him, while achieving nothing positive in the long run?

I don't recall. I think I must have been lurking at the time it was going. I'm not a true newcomer here, I've been around for maybe two years, but mostly hide up in them hills the RTD board.

((But what signs are these? Tall, emaciated strangers with burning eyes has kind of already been done. Please come up with a theme for Nokluvgn so I don't just end up repeating the tale of Krlnkir Yrlvnt.))[/i]
Knives. lots of knives. Tightly packed knives, taking up every space, filling up your eyes, gouging them out.

Obviously, you
-Eat him. The sooner you get rid of him, the better.
-Break his mind. It would look suspicious if he outright disappeared, and having another 'holy priest' on your side could work to your advantage.

-Do something else.
Break his mind, and show the villagers that he's the heretic here. Bonus points if we can stir up some more anti-god sentiment, and bonus tasty delicous points if we can eat him after.
