We're a shapeshifting demon who's icon is smoke. What if we shifted into some form of corporeal smoke elemental once thte fire is lit, to give it the impression of demonic/evil fire without us having to spend anything?

ELEMENTALS: Beings created by giving mind and form to one of the four classical elements (fire, air, water, earth). Elementals are simple beings, whose artificial minds have only one emotion, which varies depending on their source. They can be very difficult to damage using mortal means; enchanted blades or magical attacks must be used to take them out. This, and the relative ease with which they can be created, makes them popular with mages, although the demonic magic of summoning can also be used to create them, and demons and necromancers have been known to employ them.
This is an entry from the first demonhood. Note > relative ease with which they can be created, makes them popular with mages

That's in reference to mortal magic, which cannot ordinarily create new creatures out of nothing (easily). The creation of elementals using your demonic magic will cost you an ordinary amount of Evil. About 2/2 per elemental, I think.

Too bad we can't summon elemental golems. Something like a Fluorine elemental would be useful (assuming they don't immediately explode). Or maybe some Uranium or Polonium golems, have them sneak in places and poison everything...

Oh, on an unrelated note, can we put curses on people like they do in fairy-tales? Something like "every full moon you will become a horrible beast that will try to spread their curse to others" or "if you read this evil tome you will be tortured by visions and then die within a week, unless you drink the blood of the innocent" or "every time you complain about the cold you will feel like you are being burnt by hot irons".

No, you cannot create Uranium elementals. That would be silly.

Yes, you absolutely can put curses of that nature on people. Of course you can, what kind of demon can't put curses on people?

Why don't we poison the well.  Oldest trick in the book, with no portable water they'll have to give in.  Their reliance on a spring likely means that they'll lack cisterns and other storage methods.  Further, let's burn some mental might sending visions and dreams and such to convince people we wI'll be merciful should they surrender.
Edit: also send in some sort of plague, or an imp that spreads disease.

I think there are a misconception that doing something requires burning might. Might is burned when we create things from nothing or do something very difficult. As I understand the mechanics - We  can easily influence dreams and deliver mental messages without burning our essence.

Correct. It does also depend on your level of power; at higher levels things that once required expenditures may become free (not summoning, though. For free summons, find a source of evil)

Wouldn't it be difficult to convince these guys that the evil army or undead doom will treat them honourably should they surrender?  After all, we have resolute soldiers and pious monks to contend with.
Edit: I don't mean we should send them a message mentally, I mean we should force them to believe it, more like doing an Inception-style thing than evil mail.

Are we able to spend our leakage on something useful,  or is it  effectively lost?

Brute force brainwashing is not a method I like here. As you said they are resolute soldiers and pious monks.

I actually don't like any method of slow siege. We need to strike hard. Heavy losses are acceptable as long as we win. Time is more valuable than some minions.

In some instances. Usually not. It does corrupt the environment around you, if you consider that useful.

What if we dismembered a few of the weaker zombies and put their rotting flesh in the spring to poison their water supply and used a bit of Mental Might to make the mundane disease this would cause run rampant in the fortification?

NUKE9.13, how did the Hollow Remnants preform in the battle, compared to their skeleton counterparts?

Is it possible to direct our leakage towards corrupting their spring?

One more problem with an attempt to exhaust our enemy > They may try to break the siege again and this time they will be successful.
