UGH

can carrion lend JUST his voice? a bird-sound would be nice right now to try to take control

I vote to retreat, unless nobody else votes to retreat so I will vote with kit to not lose another turn for nothing

Just run.  Sydney's likely underground, anyway, being out on the surface gets you killed here.

You decide to stay on the roof to try and abuse the bottleneck. The first bird to climb up gets a quick thrust to the chest to teach him not to do such dumb things. A shame he will never learn from it, being dead n' all. Of course the next few are a bit tougher to strike down, if only because there's still a lot of roof to run around on for noe person. You manage to strike away about six of them before they get enough of a foothold. For just a brief moment, you consider letting carrion out. The thought that these things made you even THINK of that wretched creature makes you roar in a rage and tackle the closest bird while you bisect the one next to it. The tackle wasn't very good, not a lot of damage compared to the danger you put yourself in. The bird is a tad too shocked at the part where you pulled its leg out from under it and stomped on its chest. Bird-people aren't very tough, and you get the sensation of crushing a particularly crunchy balloon underfoot. Things seemed to be going fine, until you suddenly feel an intense, rending pain across you back! The chains you still wear stopped the worst of the talons from gutting you, but the gashes that are there are fairly deep. Right. There was a FLYING HARPY WITH BUTCHER KNIVES FOR FEET flying around. This is one of those moment you'll look back at and maybe laugh, before cringing so hard you just turn into a raising and collapse the space-time continuum. But hey, at least you'll laugh first. With that fresh wound in mind, you elect that running is a better option. The second you turn tail, Francine is clever enough to do the same thing, leaping off the roof and landing without a scratch. Considering your legs aren't exactly unbreakable, you have to take it just a tad slower. Not much, though, but just enough to get a little nervous. You think you felt some air displace from another errand swing.
For another moment, you consider Carrion. Again, you vomit in your mouth a little bit at the thought. If you were in a worse mental state, sure, but you IMPROVED. Sydney got you through it, she got you talking, she refused your descent and you are NOT GIVING IN. Fuck that bird.

Running away proved to be the best option. While your wound still hurts a lot, you still manage to keep the speed up. The silver lining to having Carrion around is that you heal fast, at the very least. You'll purge that thing from your system and go back to wearing proper armor again as soon as possible. You don't want to can't drop the chains quite yet.
It's not time yet.
You and your companions run for a little while longer, and the bird horde thins out very rapidly. Eventually, the harpy that was trying to keep up just gives up and flies off, calling for meat in a different direction. You and your companions are safe, though that term is a tad relative out in this tomb of a city. You still need to find Sydney, and hopefully while she's still alive. In the distance, though, you hear the sound of fighting, though it would be more accurate to call it a "crushing" rather. Seems like Jack is on the move again. You never liked the bitch in your bandit days, now that she might have murdered Sydney you're just about ready to tear her to shreds with your teeth. You carefully go towards the fight.
Sure enough, there she is. Stomping away at a few lizardmen that should know better. Something does look a little bit off, though, and that's...
Oh gods.

Floating in a see-through, purple bubble, you can see Sydney. She looks... dead. If it wasn't for the almost certainly involuntary twitching of her pedipalps, you'd have given up hope, but...
You NEED to get to her, as soon as possible. And then you need to get her medical attention. Francine and Sucy can likely stretch her final gasps, but to really fix her...
There's no way of knowing right now. The spider-creature is walking through the alleyways, having finished off the lizards in no time. She's at the right height that you could reach Sydney from the rooftop, but how would you carry her? She's not exactly light.
So many damn questions, and so little time!

How in the hell are you going to free Sydney!?

Anything we do at this point would take a miracle. And Yunniki was a part of a religious order right? I say a prayer and get in as close as possible through the rooftop. Trust that SOMETHING will appear once we're there. And if not, well... We'll have to create the miracle.

It was foolish of the others to mention Carrion when it wasn't necessary, but in this case that beast might be able to help you carry Sydney. I don't see any other way, unless you feel like fighting Jack.

Don't worry, part two is re-done! Working part Three now, will have miracle-class writing soon!

I say this here because y'all seem to hate Discord.

She's pretty much pure Fighter, from what I gather. She has a big angry bird inside her, but that seems like a weapon or last resort, if it should be used at all.

I agree, actually, with expanding on our knowledge.
Dear GM: Who is this person we have taken hold of, and what can she do?

And for those of us who are new, what the F**K IS CARRION?

Some sort of werecreature thing.  There's been some developments with it over time, but I don't think we've been told.

Yunikki is indeed sort of a pure fighter. She's fairly tough and quick, and has a lot of experience in combat. Usually, she'd also be your heavy armor specialist, but due to a sudden onset of evil science/alchemy, she kind of snapped. She was able to do some minor ranged damage using an equivalent of a miracle, but she needs access to a scroll (which was lost along with her original armor). She has a few crusader perks like that, and she does do enhanced damage against the undead. She's a simple woman, in that respect. The chains she wears are surprisngly decent protection, but they don't even compare to proper armor. It's a cultural thing that she's doing, which I won't get into right now.

Carrion is a more birdlike variant of the transformed abomination class. It's superior to the average abomination in this universe by way of not burning out the user in a year or less, but doesn't have quite the insane regeneration or power. It is a tad faster and can kind of fly. In the same way a flightless bird can "fly" for a moment. Of course, there isn't a whole lot of control available and it doesn't do great things for Yunikki's psyche. Because Sydney made it a personal issue that she doesn't go mad, Yunikki is currently rejecting anything Carrion brings to the table. If you think there is no other option, you can try it, but you have to be prepared for the consequences.

Firstly I say we should distract it, jack probably won't let syd leave but if it US who distract her will francine and sucy able to get sydney? if it them who distract will they be able to reach us? if sydney wasn't able, we won't

secondly, IF we transform, we should do as carrion the biggest shrieking sound as a call for war, Remember how Sidney controlled and negotiated with her alexia, punishing bad atitudes and endorsing good ones, maybe as werebeast we can force submission on those elderitch-sword-wielding-pidgeons-birdpeople?

if we decide to distract but we don't have the bombs or if we decide to try to tackle it down we should do whatever possible to reach it's face, beware the acid spit!

We can see in the rooftops, maybe there is another bunch of lizardmen coming, this will be our chance to get more distraction than the usual

pray a bit for the wellbeing of Sydney, such a godly creature, but take action fast, as Syd would like
